Hello guys. I believe most of you already saw the trailer for Automatron. What do you guys think? Personally, I think it is great they are expanding robot types upon existing robot.

It greatly surpassed my expectation I once said it on this forum that it is just a placeholder for the Far Harbor DLC, well don't judge a book by its cover. It surprised me with its varying customization which hopefully has depth to it. The trailer didn't give much info on the story but including the mechanist from FO3 is a gonna be interesting one since he only had one quest.(Also my story arc with him basically is non canon because I blew his face lmao)

Based on the trailer, I feel the robot customization lacks a little bit of coordination. What I mean is that it seems each parts from different robots are forced to stick together. However, just like you said, I will not judge it based on its cover. Also, I don't think the mechanist is the same guy from Fallout 3 if you consider the non-canon ending which in this case you blow up his face LOL. In addition, I feel the AI battle between robots a bit awkward, but well it's Bethesda after all. I am more looking forward the new weapons to be honest. The lighting chain gun looks really sick!

The main weapon I really want to try out is the one where the SS is using an assaultron's head as a weapon. That I probably would have never thought of. As for what's canon or not, my guess is on that kid who was a big fan of his in Fallout 3. Or! It could just be someone else entirely... Either way, the Silver Shroud will be eliminating them with a halo of bullets.

I'm actually kinda excited to play it. The trailer surprised me; I guess I was expecting less. The robot customization is great, but I'm more excited for new weapons, armor, and quests. I thought it was just going to be the robot customization/companion stuff, so I thought meh. But this looks much more entertaining.

I was very surprised by the in-depth customization as well. Though how practical will it be?

What I mean is will some of these hobo robos specialize in certain attacks, while others in defense.

Like the assaultron can be fitted with a triple plasma shot system, while a sentry bot is stripped of it's main weapons and instead carries a mobile barrier for you and your companion to use while attacking one of the Mechanist's machines. Speaking about the sentry bot, maybe strip of it's upper chasis and replace it with a small cockpit that controls dual miniguns while you maneuver it around.

I actually have no idea what to think of this trailer really, it looks okay I guess. No Idea how to really judge it from what I've seen in the trailer.

I have mixed feeling about the trailer because it I wasn't looking forward to it and they kinda spoiled the main villain. When they did, my reaction was "Oh, it's the Machinist." But then it was "Oh, it's the Machinist!"

I'm not really sure how I feel about it but it looks pretty decent, I had a huge stupid grin across my face when I saw the eyebot in the trailer, and hopefully we can give the robos we build some kind of personality I wouldn't mind walking the wastes with a mindless droid but another ED-E would be absolutely awesome. :]

I think that's their marketing strategy to keep you excited. Now, the real question is "who is mechanist?"

I haven't seen it yet, I didn't even know it was out! I gotta check it out and I hope it's good, though I don't think it will be the best dlc out of all of them.

It looks better than what I thought it would be which was just a robot companion/customizer, but after watching the trailer I think it's going to be pretty good.

Honestly, I thought it looked great. I thought it was interesting that we'll get to customize our own robot. Plus I'm hoping that the robot who is talking to you through the trailer the bluish Automatron becomes a companion with a relationship system. Kinda like Nick Valentine. We got a few synth companions, but no Automatrons. I was a bit disappointed with that especially with Kleo not being a companion.

As for the story, again it looks great! I can't wait to see what's in store for us. March 22 can't get here any faster for me.

I was surprised with what I saw. Based on previous information I was under the impression that this DLC would be very brief, lack a proper story and would be restricted to a few upgrades for your bots. This is a relief to me, however I cant judge this DLC properly until it finally releases. This DLC should help in keeping me occupied for some time. Either way, I am thoroughly excited for the first DLC to finally release.

Im really excited. As far as you can see there is a Vault Door in the trailer so hopefully another Vault?!

As for the robots i hope the paintjobs act like PA paint so people can mod it to add more.

I love It actually, I just hope its not one of those quests that start only after you finish the main quest line... because now I want to lead my robot army against the Institute...

I thought it looked really good. It almost looked like Borderlands to a point (which is one of my all time favorite series). It just looks really fun. Definitely can't wait for next week.

Personally when I heard customize your own robot I thought it would pretty much just be something along the lines of mixing sentry bot legs with an assaultron torso etc. but nope! Its way way more than that. Seriously I think I saw one of the robots had a drill for arm also there's an eyebot helmet. Seriously though I have been looking forward to this and it doesn't seem like I'll be disappointed.

I remember people complaining that modders could do what this DLC was offering. But this looks a lot more in depth. I'm really excited to see how far you can go with the customization of the robots. It's like battlebots, it's awesome. I just hope the story is more than three quests, I feel like that's the only thing that can bog this down.

I personally quite enjoyed the trailer and I think this DLC will add some much needed life to the game. Also, think of all the opportunities this opens for modders.
