I'm just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting Fallout 3 and New Vegas running on Windows 10? I tried using compatibility mode as well as running the .exe as an administrator but haven't been able to run the games thus far.

Yes, both FO3 and FO:NV run under Windows 10 just fine for me. Although, my installations are different from default.

Fallout 3 Retail is installed under C:\Games\Fallout 3

Steam is installed under C:\Steam

Fallout: New Vegas is installed under C:\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Fallout New Vegas

I did it this way to ensure UAE wouldn't interfere with the games and it is recommended by multiple websites.

As far as work-arounds with Windows 10, I have not found any that would be helpful to your situation.

I have not tried 3, but I can confirm New Vegas runs for me. In fact, I got a solid FPS boost.

I just figured out what the issue was. Performing a new install does not solve the issue (I still need to re-download Fallout 3 after deleting it). What I had to do was disable the compatibility mode (running for windows 7) as well as disabling the .exe from running as an admin by default. After disabling these settings I was able to launch the game.
