hey guys i been thinking ... there is legends ahah that falloout 4 will be in boston but i wanned to know were would you guys want it to be? anywere in the world! or a small town ... who knows i want to know your opinion and since were here i have an other question do you think they should ake a fallout in a nother countrie? to see what the war did in other countries?

Northen Ireland would be good be like nothing interesting over here unless you like cow shite but would be cool to see what Northern Ireland would look like after a nuclear fallout.

Boston is supposedly the location. Of what very little is known about the next Fallout game, this is supposedly one of the most 'concrete' pieces of info.

Boston sounds good ireland also but China i dont think GodZilla might be there and even if he aint there i still think its a bad idea Maybe Boston is the best for Fallout 4 or to open a whole states maybe.

I heard it was supposed to be in San Francisco. I think anywhere outside of the U.S. would be cool. I want to see how f***ed the rest of the world is firsthand.

I know this is kind of weird... and I understand why (As FO's charm is retro american culture, and, more specifically, "Making fun of it" at times, which I agree is cool), but who else would want to see a more modern Japan setting? Post apocalypse ofc, but with the culture being a bit more modern.
Even if it was retro, it's still be really god damn cool. Just my opinion though.
Assuming the rumors are true and FO4 is set in Boston, for the love of God, make it feel coastal. I want to hear the cries of mutant seagulls flying overhead. I want to hear bells from ancient buoys floating in the water. I want to be able to stand on the edge of the land and see nothing but miles and miles of ocean.
It’s an area rich with history and so many possibilities. Underwater vault, anyone? Diving suits?
What about a giant Cthulhu sized monster in the ocean? Or deathclaw sharks?

An underwater vault would be awesome. It could have flooded sections filled with mutated marine life, besides mirelurks. If the game is in Boston, I'd hope it would have an environment more like 3's, as New Vegas simply felt empty. I'd also hope they would follow New Vegas's example of more than just a good or evil story option, and had more gray areas in the story.

I want it to be in Boston and well i know its going to be, as long as the leaked script didn't change things... Why? because the commonwealth is mentioned in almost every game, that is where MIT is for those that do not know, not to mention the history of Boston since it was on of the original major cities before the US became the US. If you don't know all the history and places in Boston I suggest you go look.

New York City would be the best for fallout 4.Because of many skyscrapers just think about sniping from Empire State Building .Think about Statue of Liberty and many others marvels of architecture in.New York really has what need to be in fallout 4 for a truly unforgettable gaming experience.That being said Fallout 4 will be likely in Boston because it is more lore friendly.

Personally, I kind of wish it would be set in and around my hometown of Detroit. If the world map stretched from Ann Arbor to Windsor, Ontario (east to west) and from Troy/Rochester Hills to Toledo, Ohio (north to south) it would give the player a massive sandbox to play in...plus all the cool nooks and crannies in between.
But, like Tesvixen pointed out, the Kotaku article seems to have it's facts straight here...it'll be Boston for sure. Just kind of wish they'd look at setting the game in a less 'used' location. Someplace like Lincoln, Nebraska with all the missile silos and the Air Force Base would be pretty cool IMO.

I like the idea of an island nation - being able to walk from one side to the other and having an ocean surround the map, it'd also allow them to create things like floating cities that have submerged sections, also island nations usually have smaller islands surrounding them which gives more unique areas to develop ......... Don't know much about boston, but i hope something like botanicbubbles suggested is included in the final game
