Subject: Which DLC should i try? Sun Mar 01, 2015 4:08 am
So I finished the main quest with the NCR, and was angry to know that you couldn't continue the game. Thank god for the previous save. Thinking of doing DLC's now. Which one should I start with?

I think Honest Hearts. But whatever you do save Lonesome Road for last. That's the way it's meant to be.

You might enjoy dead money. But you get all your get all your gear taken away until the end of the DLC and it's extremely linear. The only RPGish elements is your relationships with 3 companions which dont affect you until the end and at that point it barely matters.

Ya, but there is a nice new gun called the Holorifle. And poison gas in the air. And you can't get close to radios or your explosive collar will detonate.
At least you know now. I was a noob going into it and got thrashed at first

Do Honest Hearts, Dead Money, OWB then Lonesome Road I think it fits together best that way

Man i liked Old World Blues the most, but some of the guns in it are more on the cool side for design and pee shooters for damage. but lonesome road is one of the best DLC's for Fallout new vegas, but if you want a real challenge try Dead Money on hardcore. i never finished it.

I think you should start dead money first or honest hearts just to get the desert ranger armor and the .45 cal weapons and do lonesome last which i think was the best. And when your done and tired of them all you can install TTW and do a bunch fallout 3 dlc's, main quest and nexus quest mods that are converted to TTW. Have fun!

Honest Hearts has a short main story, but there's a good amount to do and it feels really good to go see a place that isn't dead. Old World Blues was challenging, but it was too goofy for my style. I don't know what the deal was for me with Dead Money, but I really did not like it. I definitely enjoyed the ending and reward, though, so I guess that was worth it. Lonesome Road felt pretty epic to me. It was challenging and very Fallout-y. It felt like survival rather than just killing things.

All of them. They all bring something interesting to the table and picking one would deprive you of great content. I usually go Dead Money -> Honest Hearts -> Old World Blues -> Lonesome Road

I wasn't a big fan of Dead Money, the plot was too linear for me but I guess it was better then Honest Hearts scavenger hunts lol

Old World Blues is fun, and I liked the ED-E dlc as well... can't remember the name.

Gotta say I loved Dead Money the survival feel the in my opinion good story line and followers and for wacky fun Old World Blues some great Dialogue in it.

Personally i liked all of them. You should try all of them because each one will have something you like for exemple an outfit in there, a weapon in that etc..
