I agree with some people that cars in this mod are great, I would love to see Bethesda try and implement some giant map where you can either walk or drive some vehicle. On the lore side, it's horrible and awful, some characters made modern day references which I hated, but overall? Mechanics good, lore bad.

I'm not sure if I'm breaking any rules by posting a thread that hasn't been active since over a year but I would like to add one thing regarding the vehicles.

For anyone thinking that the Frontier's entire team deserves credit for supposedly creating working vehicles for an ancient engine, then you should take a look at this:

As far as I know this random Ukrainian was working as an assistant to the main guy behind the abandoned XRE Cars project. He was recruited by the Frontier team and basically single-handedly developed everything on his own that you can drive, not just the cars but the Vertibirds as well, and he continues to work, on his own on his own projects, independently of the Frontier team.

If anyone deserves credit for creating working vehicle mechanics it's not any of the people who started the Frontier project but this singular random dude.

He seems to be pretty talented because he is also working on other mods that seem to work pretty great, such as the mag drop mod:

I don't know why he can't rub two braincells together and release his vehicle mods independently of the Frontier (even fucking made a 1st person view for one of the cars with a working dashboard)

P.S. While I do like the mechanics he's made, I unfortunately also have to agree that cars do not really belong in New Vegas, or 3 or even 4, the roads are too ridiculously narrow and the cars are ridiculously bulky, and as cool as they are, they always break my personal immersion.

So that being said, if anyone wants to play a post-apocalyptic game with cars, look no further than Mad Max, it is the best of its class by far.
