Subject: Game crashes on startup after installing Rudy ENB Thu Mar 19, 2015 2:49 pm
After living with other graphical mods like Fellout and EVE, I decided to try out an ENB. I chose Rudy as it keeps the orange-ness of the Mojave. But anyway, I followed the instructions that were in the description - download the latest library ENB, extract to root folder, download rudy enb, extract to root folder. I launched the game, loaded a save, quit back out, and moved the d3d9.dll into the exes folder. I enabled the Weather Rudy ENB.esp, and now the game crashes on startup.

This only a guess but are you running FNV 4GB? If so there should be a file called exe in the fallout new vegas directory but the d3d9.dll into that and hopefully it should work.

If the ENB causes the problem you can press Shift and Enter to let the ENB menu show up.Uncheck "Use Effect" load your save.If everything works fine open up the menu again and disable things like "Ambient occulision" "Detailed shadow" "Bloom" and everything else in the performance section.Then chek "use effect" again.If it doesn't crash you and you have a playable fps you are done. But if you crash try to disable the Rudy weather.esp.If this still does not help you try to load an older save or uncheck all your mods an enable them all one by one to figure out the mod conflict.

Press them when? I can't even get into the game - I launch it, black screen, FalloutNV has stopped working.

Has this happen with any other enb that you used or is this your first time doing it.

Another thing i want to know is did you use the wrapper version or the injector for d3d9.dll

Deleted all the files from the Wrapper that I moved to the root, suddenly works. Huh. Thanks for your help I guess.
