| Welcome to the fold my friend i hope things start to look up for you as far as modding goes it seems tough at first but you will pick it up though trail and error. _________________ the messages ov the old world still persist and find meaning in the present most cant/wont hear the weight in their feet either for good or worse in the messages they speak to one another in truth we are all couriers carrying unknown messages.

| Thank you sir. Well as i mentioned before i uninstalled EVERYTHING out of frustration. So right now, all i have is a link on GoG to download their windows 10 version of FONV for my windows 10 laptop. I will provide the specs again in this post. I have no mod launchers/managers, and all NV and mod files have been erased. Here is a list of the mods I absolutely want to download. compared to most lists Ive seen, its not much. I think its best to start all over then to backtrack, fix one issue, only to run into another. Mod List: - Spoiler:
-Enhanced blood textures -Any mod/ENB that doesn't necessarily make the graphics HD, but at least polishes them so the game is not ugly -Heroes of the apocalypse
-Honest Hearts reborn
-Fallout character overhaul -Fallout redesigned 3 -Dragbody's NPC overhaul -NCR ultimate overhaul -Caesars New Regime -Greater Khans -Boomers go boom -Powder ganger redesign -Any of dragbody's patches used for his mods, or if its easier, use Breeze male bosies mod -Mojave Raiders(simply makes the vipers, Jackals, and Scorpions wear fallout 3 raider armor) -Travelers Patrols Consequences -Atomic Wrangler sex workers -Working Gomorrah prostitutes
-Novac Reborn -goodsprings reborn -Primm Restored -Westside Restoration -Gomorrah Overhaul -The Strip open -Freeside open -The Strip hotels -Westside restoration -Ultra-Luxe overhaul
-Enhanced camera -Whatever mod allows you to sprint -Real Recoil -Asurah Reanimation pack
-Courier 6 Power Armor -ADAM REBORN -Courier's outfit -Countinue after ending
-Ulysses companion -Ultimate Ulysses companion and race -Ulysses keep mask by default -Ulysses vanilla body patch -Authentic Burned Man
My Specs - Spoiler:
Any help will be more than appreiated. I appologize to those of you who helped me earlier, and I honestly dont expect your help after I jsut uninstalled everything. You've taught me alot. With these mods mentioned, Im open to suggestions on how to download these, what order to put them in, and what support mods/launchers/mod managers I should get. This community has been great. Cheers. |

| @Allen Reyes - I have to give you credit for persistence. Why? Because that's what modding our games is about. There is no one size fits all in modding. Sometimes starting with a clean install is the best way to go after something hits a brick wall. The thing I have found, is that making mistakes in modding a game on your current rig of the time is going to teach you better lessons about modding on the next PC or the next game. They are all different. Fundamentals are important.
One of those fundamentals is testing as you go. Thoroughly testing. Meaning not launching the game and playing 10 minutes and calling it good to go. Load up some of the big mods, let's say 2-5, and then go in game for an hour. Try everything you can think to try in game: from simple crafting to lot's of action in a crowded place with lots of extra creatures or NPC's. With lots of lights and loading doors.
Then you can start to believe you may have something stable to add on to.
Then add another 2-5, repeat the same testing. Short cutting this important part of modding your game is at your own risk. Eventually you will have a game that is stable on whatever PC platform you are using. I have a monster rig that doesn't blink when I mod the hell out of a game. But I still test just like I laid out to you here. It only takes one mod to ruin your day and it is more often than not, not the mods fault. It's usually our own impatience that bites us in the butt.
You will end up with a game that runs as smooth as it can on your laptop if you try this. You might also find, that as much as you like everything in that mod list, your PC can't run the whole list well. Be selective and load the most important ones to you and wait until you have an updated rig that can handle that list and more.
Your persistence will pay off. Hope this helps. |
