Welcome to the October 2014
Video Game Underground Screenshot Contest

This Contest is for screenshots from any Video Games
(except the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series)

Submission period: October 1st > 20th
Contest Theme: Fear or Suspense

This means, it can be anything creepy, scary, spooky, monsterishly, gorey, stomach turning, inspiring fear, horror, immediate danger, etc.

This doesn't mean that the screenshots have to be from horror survival games. The game itself doesn't have to be scary for the screenshot to be. A good screenshot for this theme could come, for example, from a Transformers game, with a scary looking Decepticon, or from GTA with a stalkish-like image of a serial-killer or mass-murderer, or from a racing game, heading for a wall or cliff at 200 mph, or a fatality from an arcade fighting game. Use your imagination, think of anything that's scary, and put it in your screenshot.

No. of Screenshots per Member: Maximum of 3
You can post one, two or three screenshots, but not more.
Post them all in one post.

Post them all before the submission period ends.

RULES of Participation:
Rule 1: NO Fallout or Elder Scrolls screenshots.
They have their own contests. This is for other games.
Rule 2: NO screenshots outside theme parameters.
Respect the theme, don't say you didn't notice it
Rule 3: NO photoshop or other post-game manipulation
This also means no memes, no added text (made-up dialogue)
Ingame subtitles are allowed as they are part of the game itself.
Rule 4: NO mods, hacks or tweaks.
Only Vanilla gameplay. DLC is allowed.
Rule 5: NO nudity or other taboo material
Rule 6: NO more than 3 screenshots/member
Rule 7: NO submissions accepted after October 20th
Rule 8: NO other posts in this topic except submissions.
Any posts without a submission will be removed and the poster will be given -1 rep.
Rule 9: NO comments on other members' submissions
Until the winners are announced, inappropriate comments will be sanctioned with -1 rep.
Rule 10: NO screenshots submissions without the name of the game that they're from.
Specify, under or above each image, what game it is from.
Rule 11: NO influencing the Judges.
Do not be a kiss-ass to gain their favor. Do not try to explain the background/story of the picture. Try to make it explain itself.

VOTING
Winner will be declared by a panel of 3 Judges
(VGU's Got Talent style). The judges are:
DVAted
Tesvixen
TheHulksCousin
(reserve: Nem, Undeadsewer)
Judging will be made by October 30th
Winners will be announced on Halloween
DO NOT try to influence the judges in any way.

Judge Panel members are allowed to submit screenshots, however they will not judge their own submissions. One of the Reserves will take their place over those specific screenshots in that specific case.

PRIZES
We will award 3 members:
#1 Best screenshot &
2 runner-up Winners
will get the following rewards:

#1 Prize will consist of having the screenshot be represented in a 900x200 banner in rotation on top of the site.
If you are not yet Promoted, getting the #1 spot will earn you immediate Promotion. Rules of confidentiality of the restricted mods will still apply.

All 3 winning screenshots will be featured in the Site Gallery and Hall of Fame.
All 3 winners will be allowed to use this achievement signature created by Undeadsewer:

TheHulksCousin asked if judges can submit screenshots to the contest, on the 2nd of October.
This was discussed and then introduced on the same day as:

But then, neither TheHulksCousin, Tesvixen, Nem or Undeadsewer submitted anything, while I already had prepared the pictures for my entry closed eyes smile

They may or may not be judged upon (depending on the other judges' wishes).
Either way, it's here to end the contest with a bang!

Contest is over!
Judging results will be posted on the 30th or 31st of October.
I'd like to remind the judges to hold into account the factors
that we've discussed in the Initial topic for the Contest
