it's basically a complete over haul of new vegas. (in which it's a retelling of the story)

it takes place (if Im correct or not place correct me) sometime between falllout 2 and new vegas.
you start in a vault, some crap does down, you escape, and then help build up the NCR (or something along that)
it is fun, I played the first testing version of it when it was called "Project Brazil" (dont know why it was called but //shrugs//)

also, it's set in San Bernardino California

the new California mod for new vegas is amazing its basically a dlc i highly recommend to go download it and try it out it brings a real refreshment to new vegas since new vegas been out for a long long time now

It's a really great dlc sized mod. Multiple endings, most of which directly relate to the story of the Courier. There's literally no reason not to play it.

It's really high quality. I'm waiting for their update in December, though. I've played a few hours of it and the companions are sort of lacking after the first chapter (which they plan on fixing in the coming update). But otherwise, the writing is phenomenal and the story is exceptional and believable in the universe.

New California is made to be a brand new story set before the events of New Vegas, upon starting a new game you'll be asked if you want to play Fallout New California or Fallout New Vegas and as the others have said its very high quality with full voice acting, a main quest, side quests, companions, new weapons and armor, and multiple endings.

It is currently in its Beta and when it releases fully you'll be able to go into the New Vegas story after you completed New Cali.

Does it completely overhaul the game to the point that you can't get the original NV storyline or is it an addition that branches off from or leads up to the main NV plot?
