Justice doesn't pick favorites. If you log in and lurk for a period of three months or greater, you'll be demoted. That's the risk you take when lurking. I understand real life obligations may prevent someone from being as active as they'd like to be, but if you have the time to log in you have the time to post at least once. Whatever your reasons for lurking are, whether you were a member for years or days, whether you're an admin or a normal user — none of this matters. If you lurk, you get demoted.

That said, though, it's relatively easy to regain your Colonial status. Just use the site as normal and post. If you have time to log in, you have time to post.

number 2 im going thru real life family issues so no you dont understand
i dont think these rules are fair at all i love this site and i sign and scroll through the screenshot section for fallout because i love the screenshots that people post for example dragbody and cpt rex and many others.fallout is a very special game to me and i cant even play because what im going thru at the momment. theres no point of demoting someone on this site that reached colonial such as myself that has been on this site for many years

It is a shame to see how some of my friends in the community have been demoted, for example @ Maverick12799, I know that he is very busy with his studies and work in real life without thinking about the recent floods that affected Spain, I just hope that the is well and willing to return to this community that gave us the opportunity to show our mod and enjoy others great mod.

You're always welcomed and valued here, even if you lose full access for a while.

The demotion is just a natural consequence of your objective activity pattern, not targeted at you personally.

I have had many issues some serious and most not so serious (fortunately) from RL that makes my time here very limited... I do exactly what DVAted stated above. At a minimum I go to the welcome thread to say hello. I review sometimes, the previous post and see if new content is there for me to enjoy (or divert myself from something not so pleasant in RL) and usually can find something to comment on. In fact, this post is one such occurrence. I haven't been very active recently and see this where I can chime in on and verify the fact of, how to keep your rank easily enough. (and contribute to the site so I can Lurk some more if I can't post that is I usually try to make a post at least once a month and check my "Watched Topics" for potential post material for that.

There is always a welcome post to post on, a birthday, holiday, or a new mod that you can complement the author on to fulfill your requirements. However I have been in your place @famaine and it has been difficult a few times to do this. I just did it and thought, "If I enjoy the content provided to me by members here... I owe them at least some sort of post or thank you or something to give back."

In any case @famaine I wish you the very best of luck and hope you resolve the serious issue you have in RL ASAP and can get back to were you need to be. That is the most important thing!
