I typically try to beat the game before I exploit it lol (I.e. Mods, console commans, etc.)...Fallout 4 for example, I'm trying to beat the game on console first, that way I can't be tempted by mods and console commands, but I am already modding it and testing stuff on my PC version. It just depends on the game and what I'm trying to do.

The biggest way I've cheated is just doing bat mats and giving me all the materials. I got tired of having to collect all the junk, then scrapping each individual piece. The game has been more enjoyable now that I just focus on looting enemies.

I've toggled god mode quite a few times in my first playthrough of Fallout 4 but am trying to keep it to a minimum with my second playthrough. Usually it's when crazy crap happens that there's not way to beat.

Outside of Fallout, I'm a Lifetime Unlimited member of Cheat Happens so I use trainers quite a bit on strategy games because I love them but also suck at them. I also like to play the way I want to play.

Well I try to beat the game legitimately beforehand, that's how I've always played my games. Then I'll cheat if I feel like it

Ever since i discovered modding I've been a dirty cheater but I've started a new clean play-through.

Depends what I want for example. If I want an immersion play through cheats break that immersion. If I want to play a character lets say a mage who can transform into a vampire Ill just make my character level 81 and give myself all the perks. Then put the game on master or legendary and play through quests. The reason I do that with custom characters is because I do not have time to grind or level up and its literally going to take time away from actually enjoying the game. (This is all in skyrim btw)

If it's a bug or something completely unreasonable, console commands all the way. Otherwise play it the way it's supposed to be played.

If it's a cool item/mod that wasn't put in anywhere particular, I go in and drop it somewhere challenging.

If there is a bug or something that keeps me from progressing through the game I'll use console commands to get passed it. Other than that I'll play the game cheat free to stay immersed in the story I am playing. Fallout is known for its bugs and such. There are some mods that have issues that I have to use commands to get through. No way around it.

The only game I cheat on is Skyrim, I give myself a lot of health so I can play the game on Legendary.

I cheat a little bit, basically just enough to give myself currency and lockpicks/bobby pins just so I don't spend most of my time trying to save up.

I've cheated on all the elder scrolls games, morrowind, oblivion, skyrim I always cheated only gor gold and lockpicks and fallout pretty much looked for every item in the world and traveled to qa smoke room to see every item there by console so yeah I haven't finished any game without the help of cheats.

I'll admit, I cheat nowadays more often than not. Especially with little things like carry weight. I just don't want to waste my time dealing with the littlest things, like going back to base and dumping what I feel is unnecessary to be able to pick up more stuff. It really just takes more time away from the actual fun parts of the game for me. Another example, like with just cause 3. Great game. To me, more of a pick up and play than a spend-several-hours-trying-to-complete-challenges-in-order-to-unlock-the-smallest-things type of game. I hate things like that. I install a 'unlock everything' mod and have a blast from the get go. No frustration and no wasting my time just for the sake of saying "Yeah, I didn't it the right/hard way". I love pc gaming because I love having these types of options. I don't have the spare time for such things as I did when I was a youngling.

More or less a joke. But we have all used console commands to get that extra 1000 caps to buy a weapon or such. I'm sure a lot more people have play throughs where they give themselves a ton of health and AP/Stamina, its something most my friends do.

Also the fact there's basically no level cap until level 65535[when the game crashes because you abused the console too much lol] in Fallout 4 just tempts me into using player.modav experience x just to see how ridiculously powerful my character can get.

I cheat to test new mods and their stability, sometimes I cheat when a mod wants a lot of something I don't have patience to earn.. But generally, I'm a clean player.

Yup I cheat, mostly to get ammo
because its always annoying when your playing the game and you have 3 or 4 raiders shooting at you forever... and they never run out of ammo or Molotov cocktails...so at some point in the game I give myself ammo to kind of make it so I can actually shoot back. Its just annoying when the raider shoots what appears to be 210 rounds at you.. and when you kill him he has 3 on him.. so im suppose to believe he used up all that ammo? I would assume he would come to the conclusion that expending that many rounds in a world that cant really craft ammo would be a waste and go elsewhere perhaps?

but yeah.. to get ammo is how I cheated.

I usually use it to give myself some ammo if i run out in the middle of an area but im usually ok with resisting the allure of console commands especially tgm.

i always cheat, but there is a twist to it
i have two seperate playtroughs at the same time, one without cheats and one with. I choose which to play depending on my mood, do i want a challenge or do i want to run and gun.
And i always test new mods on the cheat save, always
