I think a sequel to the series would be awesome. I think turning it to a open world game would make tear me up with joy. I am talking character creation, full dismemberment, dynamic lightsaber gameplay, cutting edge graphics, etc. would be amazing. Kyle Katarn would be your an old, wise, yet, still snarky Jedi master(even though he just wants you to call him Kyle), and gives you missions all over the galaxy to craft you into a Jedi master. Or, your character, Jaden, from Jedi academy(depending on which choice you chose for him/her) would be your teacher, or the main antagonist of the story. You can start out as Sith padawan to Jaden if you choose Jaden to be a s Sith master, or the opposite side of things. You can choose to give in to the Dark Side and relish in true power in exchange for your humanity during your path as a Jedi, or see the errors of your ways and go to join the Jedi and defeat your own master as a Sith. The dynamic lightsaber battles would be Rockstar-physics like. With dynamic lightsaber movement, your opponent(preferably a Sith/Jedi) would use their force powers to counter attack your moves while you do the same. When you cut off a limb, it would be BRUTAL. Like, I know this sounds sadistic, but, I know if one of your limbs got cut off by a lightsaber, you would be traumatized. The character creation would be in more in depth. like with certain races, you get better abilities. That is really all I can say out of my head guys. I'm just saying it would be flipping amazing of they made a sequel to this series and make into a much stronger title. But, that is a long shot, so yeah. If you agree, what features do you think should be in the sequel? And what should it be named?

I would LOVE a sequel to Jedi Academy! With episode 7 coming it would be perfect time to also. I can't think of a name though. There could be a sandbox mode too maybe where you can fly in your ship being the galactic peacekeeper you always wanted to be! (wait nevermind that's basically what you always do). I think first person lightsaber combat could be cool too if a little disorienting. Though I think if it does have full dismemberment it shouldn't be bloody because I imagine a lightsaber would cauterize the wound. We could also have a force system like the Force unleashed upgrade your force grip to grab two enemies at once and throw them off a cliff or into the environment. If we choose to go with a darkside route maybe we could have physical effects on our characters displaying it like yellow eyes or (this one sounds a bit stupid) Yelling a lot in combat to symbolize hatred haha.

A sequel would be awesome, however unlikely since its storyline is now non-canon

There's some singleplayer mods out there in development that might provide us with that sequel experience one day, like 'The Dark Pasttime' - a mod where you play Kyle on the trail of a Dark Side Jaden Korr. Looks pretty good!

Kualan is right, sadly... thanks to the Disney acquisition both JK/JA are pretty much non-existent, which is sad because they were both very good games.

That said, I'd definitely buy a modern game in the series.

Would be nice to see another Jedi Knight game, but like the others have said, it is sadly no longer canon, thanks to Disney.

I didn't remember Jedi Academy being that good but it has been years since I played it. I did like the original Jedi Knight games.

It had an amazing MP community 'back in the day'. There's still good servers around but it's a shadow of its former self. I like to RP in MP games and the JKA RP scene was crazy good.

Yeah, it is a long shot from happening. Who knows? There might be a spiritual successor to series, just this time following the canon universe. There could be nods to the series like an easter egg with the bartender from Jedi Outcast. Luke can make a brief reference to Kyle and Jaden without saying names. You know, subtle references.

I would love another game in the JK franchise, preferably with the TFU combat system.
Kyle Katarn was a great character to play as and would deserve to come back.

Back in the EU Canon Jaden was in fact a male Jedi so for the JK canon the dark side was non-cannon.
I absolutely loved rping on the MP servers even though it was limited to what we had.
