| Hey all!
With all the great mods coming out in the upcoming months, I couldn't help but make another attempt again at getting this game running smoothly, but sadly I've found more riddled with problems than before. I've upgraded my GPU from a 760 to 970, yet still I get lag spikes im the world map, and now, to add to it, every person has the gained the ability of super speed, including me. I thought V-Sync may of been behind the speed boost, but it isn't.
System Specs: CPU: 8320 AMD GPU: Superclocked gtx 970 RAM: 8gb DDR 3 OS: Windows 7 PSU: Corsair 600 CX Mobo: m5a97 LE R2
Any ideas from the Fallout gurus? :S

| Hey there, are you running the game through NVSE? or the standard launcher. Also, I would look into New vegas anti-stutter/lag and New vegas anti-crash. These may help smooth some of the stability problems your having. Make sure v-sync is turned on not only through the launcher, but through your internal GPU controls for the game. You have a solid rig, but it should not provide "super speed" although im sure an enb may be able to drop your frames a bit. Give the v-sync options a check in your GPU control panel, and try the anti-stutter mod and let us know how it goes.
good luck _________________ Pre Vizsla: This lightsaber was stolen from the Jedi Temple by my ancestors during the fall of the Old Republic. Since then, many Jedi have died upon its blade. Prepare yourself to join them. |

| Use this, it's the 4GB loader (pretty sure this is the one compatible with NVSE) http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35262/?
Also, not sure how many computers have this, but do you have the option of choosing between your graphics card and integrated graphics? If you do make sure you're using your card.
Also update your drivers, it helps a ton. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx _________________ A secret message to the chosen ones:- Spoiler:

| move to windows 8/8.1 or wait for your windows 10 free upgrade. If your using an SSD as your hard drive if you do not have the settings set correctly in the bios that will cause problems, even on a regular hard drive it can cause issues. My guess something in your bios is not set right as well, with your setup you should be having no issues. _________________ AAA Environment Artist & Modeler, US Army Combat Vet, Full Sail University Alumni |

| Also how many programs are running in the background? I know having some anti-viruses can attribute to lag depending if thier settings are set to scan fix problems in real time. _________________ |

I didn't, but I ran a integrity check, and it seems to have fixed the game acceleration.

good luck Thanks for your ideas, but whatever the problem was, it was with a file I may have accidentally deleted or altered. :S - Quote :

My guess something in your bios is not set right as well, with your setup you should be having no issues. Actually I'm using a mechanical hard drive for my games. I use a small SSD for my OS. Still waiting on windows 10 myself, I hope it's a big improvement over 8 and 7.^^ - Quote :

Usually just the web browser, but nothing that should hinder game play. With game acceleration solved, now I just need to improve all this micro stuttering. I use NVEC+100 plugins along with an ENB, but that shouldn't put much strain on a 970, unless it's a CPU related issue. The stuttering only occurs in exterior environments when I turn direction or get into combat. EDIT: I just removed NVEC and wow, just got a huge performance increase. |
