| Hi everyone! I'll be honest and say that I'm really terrible at introductions, but to put it short I started playing Fallout: NV a few months ago and fell in love with the series in general. For whatever reason I just never played any of the more recent titles, despite having them sitting in my Steam library for years. I think I actually bought New Vegas when it came out and just never did anything with it. Anyway, I've just as recently been getting into modding for my various Fallout collection as I've been playing them, though I'm not new to modding in general (Skyrim is one of my most played games, after all). I know there's been a lot of unrest regarding Nexus recently, and I've seen GUN pop up every time I've done searches for other places to get mods, so I figured I'd give it a shot! I did see a lot of, well... negative remarks toward this place from a handful of angry people on Steam, but from the posts I've skimmed and the rules section... I'll be honest, I just don't see anything really all that bad. I'm a huge literary/lore analysis nerd, and I love coming up with various character concepts and having in-depth, deep dive-y discussions on games, books, etc. So, if you like those things, too, I'm sure we'll have a lot to talk about. Honestly, I'm just surprised that the interest and love, especially for FO3 and NV, is alive and thriving even in 2021, but that also makes me pretty happy. It's just really cool to see an active community for old games. To tie things up - I know that modding can be a very difficult thing, and that those who put in the work have an immense dedication and love for the content they're adding to, and I really appreciate the effort. ((If you don't love the games you mod, but still put in the work, you're still really cool and are very much appreciated. )) I'm just looking forward to getting to know people and checking out some great content. |
