Hey Y'all!

Its been about 5 or 6 years since I launched a mod manager, fallout 4 really disappointed me and I kinda quit playing games for a while and decided to focus on my degree. I finished school a few years ago and really got a desire to play new vegas again. After some quick researched, I learned this was where I should look for great community and mods.

You can check out my nexus page as proof of my roots. I go by the same user name there. I've only got a few mods up there now, but they were fun to make and that's why you do it right?

Anyway, for an update on what I''m up to now; I'm trying to make the most modern new vegas experience I can without it crashing every 45 minutes. Which means I'm currently trying to cram an old copy of the Solid project into becoming friends with MCM and Project Nevada. it's.... a challenge, but new vegas always was.

If you've got any mods I would be an idiot to miss or advice on how to wrangle the Solid Project let me know! Or just come remise about how great/terrible modding was 6 years ago!

Well, you can't play FNV without NVAC, if you're using Windows 10, use NVTF, or NVSR if it's Windows 7.

I've got NVAC and NVSR installed. I'll go try to find NVTF.
                                                 I found NVTF and switched it in and got rid of NVSR. Thanks!

Just checking, should I not use NVAC if I'm on Win10?

also, I know its a longshot, but I saw this in a screenshot contest submitted by RangerGUN.  I cant message them directly yet, so I was wondering if you knew what mod makes Raul look like this?

@lonecourier The screenshot is definetely Dragbody's work. Wether it is one of his mods on here or his character overhaul over on the Nexus, I could not comment.

• If you're feeling like pulling your hair out, there's a miriad of ENB's out there that do make a world of difference, but it's pure preference
• Functional Post-Game Ending
• Weapon Animation Replacers (Gopher)
• Asurah's First person Animation pack
• Better Cass (Nexus, contains a fan the hammer animation for revolvers. A MUST for gunslingers)
• Anything from the B42 project
• Courier's Cahce
• DiaMoveNVSE
• FNVLODGen
• Wasteland clothes Hires Retexture
• New Vegas Redesigned
• FNV4GB Patcher - A god send in improving stability

@Voyevoda1 thanks so much for the recommendations. I've been looking into them and had a quick question. You mentioned a bunch of Dragbody's Overhauls. Is most of his work GUNetwork private mods? I can't seem to find the BOS Overhaul or the NPC overhaul anywhere. They look like the best character overhauls I've ever seen, but they're private I can wait until I can use those mods.


@Adventfather Ok I've got FCO installed right now so I'll try placing him at me and see if that's how he looks. (In falling into my old habits, I've probably spent 10 hours working on my mods and load order and still haven't left Goodsprings)

^ That link has the fiend overhaul and the NPC overhaul. If you have FCO installed first and then download Dragbody's overhauls, they'll supercede all of the pevious overwrites (In theory, I don't use FCO)

Best of luck with your new modding rig. As always, I would suggest implementing these mods one by one, that way if you're having issues with any of these mods, you'll know which one. These overhauls are pretty extensive and overhaul a majority of the NPC's in the game.

Thank you Voyevoda1 that's a huge help! I'll go check them out. and no worries about the one private mod, I'll get there when I get there.

One last question I had was more about the GUNetwork. I'm learning my way around and was wondering if there's a place where y'all have just general modding discussion, almost like a chat board or discord. I didn't seem to find anything like that last night.

If you go onto the forum tab, found at the top of the screen, you'll see that everything is split into a sub-section. General Video games discussion is at the very bottom and everything else is split up by game with Fallout being at the top.

No, use NVAC always, you can still use NVSR if you getting stuttering on Windows 10, because it does some other memory things that NVTF don't do.

@"Voyevoda1" ok I think I got it now. Thanks so much. I've been downloading mods for the last 3 hours. hopefully, I get them to all play along nice I'll post some screenshots tonight if everything goes well.
