I don't think I've seen a topic related to this new game

Any thoughts on the project?

I'm cautiously optimistic for this.
Honestly, I've been starving to play a new Star Wars game for a long time now that's actually a decent and fulfilling experience, so I want nothing for this game but for it to be good.

However, I've been burned by EA one too many times with the fact that the new Battlefront games feel rather average (in my honest opinion anyway), and how they've gone out of their way to cancel literally every single other Star Wars game that was in the works.

At least there are a lot of good signs so far regarding Jedi: Fallen Order, with the fact that they confirmed that this would be a full single-player experience and that there would be no micro-transactions or any other insidious monetization in this game... but despite all that they've promised? I still can't trust them. What if they add in those types of things months after release (or in a sequel)? What if they find some other way to completely screw over consumers?
Besides, EA is not promising those things because they learned their lesson from the Battlefront 2 controversy, they're only trying to win back whatever good will they used to have and pretend that they're the good guys.

I still hope that this game will be great though. Besides, as far as I know, Respawn hasn't made a bad game before. But it's probably not something that I'm going to be getting until at least a month or two after it comes out just to be on the safe side.

Long time ago i made a vow to not buy anything with EA's logo on it, and that i will keep, even though this one is made by the developers of TitanFall and Apex Legends, and the plot sounds and looks interesting, i really don't wanna give a single penny to those corporate, greedy cunts.

Looks really interesting. Won't know more until it has been out for a bit. Story looks good, wish the movies put out were more like these Games.
But like most have said EA has screwed us over and left a bad taste in our mouths...
But like the idea, story looks good. Won't know if game play is any good till we try it.

I'm waiting to see some gameplay to give me an opinion but the background of the trailer is really interesting with the venator's reinforcement.

Personally, I am very excited to see how the game turns out. Like some of you, I doubt I will pre-order/purchase the game until it's been released for a few weeks.

I'm hoping that EA keeps there paws out of Respawn's business and allows them complete control over the release.

I also hope that EA doesn't make it a BS lootbox/microtransaction game. I highly doubt they will based on their own admission (which to be honest, doesn't mean much).

But overall I'm confident that this game might be the first step in EA's transition from screwing over SW fans to hopefully giving them the content THEY WANT and have been asking for for years.

We shall see, I spose.

Anybody reckon we'll see some footage of this at E3? There's not much announced for E3 as it is and EA really need a new single player game. People shit on EA a lot (With reason for certain aspects of the company). They have let people down a lot over the years because of their reliance on games making money over time in stead of making good games that stand the test of time.

The potential is there, as it always is but if they manage to produce a stellar game then they'll have an upper hand right now as it doesn't have to compete with any AAA single player game releases as there aren't any for the forseeable future. Pessimistically optomistic about the future as it stands.


***Edit. Also, does it piss anyone else off nowadays how much movies/tv show/game trailers show too much? Just me?***
