Hi all! I have recently just gotten into FNV (due to it only being $3 on steam along with the Overwhelmingly Positive reviews), and with that modding the game! I came from playing Fallout 4 and Skyrim. F4 bored me with the story more and more as it went on, but I loved the look of the game and the RPG aspect, and I think Skyrim is a good game but just not for me. I discovered this site after watching a NV modding guide:
After seeing the mod "Upgrades From the Commwealth" I was blown away! Thinking that I could have the (supposedly) amazing story of NV with the graphics of Fallout 4? I'll take it! Then I discovered that I needed to rank up in order to get the mod, understandably I was confused at first. However the more I have looked into this forum and community, the more I have been thinking that this would be something that I would really enjoy being apart of. I have only been apart of a few forum communities in the past so I don't have much experience, but I am excited to see how I can and contribute to this community!

Howdy and welcome there. Also,welcome to New Vegas. If the story of FO4 bored you,fear not. New Vegas has a very interesting story and characters that are very much worth the money and time,especially at 3 bucks(really? It's easily worth more than 10 times that much). And as for the ranks don't worry too much about it. Just be active and chat in the forums and you'll get the special access sooner than you thought. Also feel free to ask for help with modding because there are a lot of veteran modders around here who would be more than happy to help. Enjoy your stay.

Welcome to the forum. New Vegas is really fun to mod, and you can do a lot of cool things in the meantime without special access, via the public mods and ones on the nexus.
