Hi all,

I was wondering what you guys think about a novella type fan series chronicling the main story line of New Vegas, complete with its own character arcs and themes inspired by my own head canon and the fallout universe.

One of the best things about Fallout games are their ability to give you just enough freedom to role play your own head canon. Are you New Vegas' reluctant hero? Villain? Just a raider mixed up in a bunch of political nonsense? The origins, personality and actions of the courier are left totally up to players, and I think there is something there worth investigating.

I'm thinking of an episodic structure like Prologue/ Goodsprings chapter, then Primm chapter, on so on. All main events would be featured, as well as some of the other more interesting side quests which lead into it, like the Powder Ganger conflict in GoodSprings , as well as totally new stories made by me. I'll use some quotes directly from the game, it's kind of necessary, but it would be mostly original dialogue while using the choices I made during my play through. The Courier also has a set personality/ backstory that will be elaborated on. Think of it like a re imagining.

I think this could be a good way to develop my own creative writing and get some feedback from other like minded individuals. I'd love to know what you guys think of it, and if there is a demand for this kind of content. I like to think of this as it's own literary mod for New Vegas.
