Nexus if you are downloading a lot of mods from it+easy mod installing
FOMM is better option AFTER you download some mods, but it's more difficult to use it
Never used MO so idk

FOMM is always your best bet- NMM doesn't handle larger files that well. Over anything though I'd recommend manual installing them, as there are so many mods with different options that would be missed if using an organizer.

FOMM is the best imo, because when I install mods with this application I can later easily merge plugins. Another advantage of FOMM is fact that NMM doesn`t handle large files.

FOMM would be suitable for F:NV. However FOMM would be quite outdated for games such as Fallout 4/Skyrim.

NMM is easy to use as it is supported by the site itself such as direct download from the manager itself. However, just as per @"Lôke-khan K.B." and @"callabar" have said the maximum size of one file in an archive should not be more than 2GB which is a severe limitation. the .esl support (on 0.63.17) is flawed anyway, it has a conditional check about disabling mod sorting if .esl is present above .esm, but all creation club's esl plugins are loaded before mod esms causing NMM to disallow you on sorting your plugins. I had to manually remove the check and recompile the specific module which is super unfriendly for non-technical majorities.

Mod Organiser uses virtualisation, which means that it won't "pollute" your data directory in Skyrim/FO4, essentially reducing more than 2/3 the size of used spaces while compared to NMM (since NMM stores the downloaded mods, virtual install files ready for overwriting, as well as extracting files into your data directory). In this case, Mod Organiser actually does its jobs very well better than NMM minus .esl support and site support.

Additional info, MO developers are now working with NMM developers to release a new mod organising tool called Vortex, let's look forward to it!

edit: well...how do i tag people again?

i used mod organizer and NMM, i like mod organizer because if gives you more control in what you download and tells you if any files overwrite with others. it also tells you if theirs any problems if your load order which can cause a crash and saves you lots and i mean LOTS of time trying to figure which mods is the cause.

Put @ before the person's name like @calscks. But thanks for answering, I think I might move to Mod Organiser.

I am using MO2. Changed from NMM, not because NMM is bad, but MO2 handles better multiple game installations as well profiling, which I find is good for mod testing, and I like to have nice clean DATA folder. Also Mo2 is better for custom smashups, partial locked load orders and all sorts of little management tools. I still use NMm for games I just play and don't make personal mods much like Skyrim or older Fallouts. But since I really have become lost on my own imaginary falloutastic bubble with 4, i tinker way too much and MO2 is better for maintaining control over personal wilderness.'

If any of my post made sense. Pardon my English (or lack of it).

MO2, without a doubt. Used FOMM for years and years, tried MO, instantly converted. Can't wait for Vortex.

If I had to pick I would definitely say FOMM for FNV. NMM has some serious issues handling larger mods, cannot merge plug ins to shorten load orders etc.
If y ou are planning on heavily modding FOMM, but if it is just a few things NMM can work if the plug ins are not very large.

Nexus good enough for me with all TES and fallout. But FOMM has some cool tool to play with.

Fallout Mod Manager tends to be more stable than the Nexus Mod Manager. You can never really get any issues from FOMM with Fallout 3 or New Vegas so FOMM is the way to go especially if you're the type to download a lot of big mods.

I've been using MO since... last month? And so far no conflict on my TTW gameplay (beside the bug and glitch added by the mod) and MO didnt install mod directly to your game folder so you dont need to Re-install your game if something happen. The downside of MO is you need time to get along with it, other than that seems all alright

So i recomend using Mod Organizer

I have Mod Organizer, and it is the best to use, but Nexus is just the most simple, so I find myself using it more. Personally, I find it easiest to install manually, and the only reason I actually use managers is so I can easily uninstall mods.

I have never used FOMM much and the only real thing I use it for is so I can extract files from the Bethesda Archive files that come with FO3 and FNV.

FOMM, I use it and love it very much. The second would be Mod Organizer.

I've always just found Nexus mod manager the easiest, since all you have to do is press download. That being said, it is not without it bugs so for the odd mod, I have to use FOMM.
