| I've tried downloading these mods manually for Fallout 4, but nothing is showing in the game. I've extracted the contents into the Data folder in the main Fallout 4 folder. If anyone has any suggestions to help out, I'd greatly appreciate it |

| Judging from your issue you haven't actually turned on the plugins/enabled the plugins. Recommend you get an external mod organiser or attempt to use the ingame one found in the mods section. (As you can activate and deactivate mods in there.) |

| There are loads of mod tutorials for beginners out there. So I will try to be very brief:
- If you only started modding, manually installing mods is not recommended. It makes it very hard for you to uninstall and there are risks of deleting the wrong file during uninstalling.
- Use Nexus Mod Manager or Mod Organiser. They are softwares that helps you to easily install/ uninstall mods. I suggest you to try Nexus Mod Manager first.
- If you need more advice, you could look for mod tutorials for beginners. Youtubers like Gopher have a lot of tutorials that helps beginners to install mods.
Your issue is probably not enabling the mod in the in-game menu, which you could do it in the mods menu when you enter the game. |

| If all else fails, go into your Fallout4Prefs.ini and add this line underneath [Launcher]:
bEnableFileSelection=1
and change sResourceDataDirsFinal in Fallout4.ini to:
sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\
after that you can use the Fallout 4 config tool to invalidate archives.

| @Fallout_Assassin It's possible the mods were unpacked in such a way as to make them "unseen" by the game. Open up your Data folder - if there is another Data folder inside (upper or lowercase doesn't matter) than that may be the problem. The folders your mods contain - typically ones for "meshes," "materials," textures," etc. - need to be in the Data folder, along with the .esp file. Also: it is HIGHLY recommended you don't manually install mods; there really isn't any good reason to do so when ModOrganizer exists. It's a fantastic little program that's definitely worth the time to learn, and doing so won't leave you at the mercy of the nexus. If you have any questions you're in the right place to ask. |

| you have to set up the game to see the mods. Corvo gives this info. Without it you can install all the mods you want and the game won't see it. (If I remember correctly.)
I do (or did) actually manually install many of the mods I used for Fallout 4. They all worked fine after setting it up (again if I remember it correctly it has been awhile. )
