Preston has not been mentioned enough here! So I will add to the hate on Preston. He can kiss his settlements goodbye cuz' I ain't helping them.
I also hated Elder Maxson because of his purist ideals. Buuurn him and feed him to the Synths! Jk.

An odd statement, but personally... Nate/Nora, whichever you are playing. I was willing to give a voiced main character a chance, but I think it failed, from a role-playing perspective, pretty spectacularly.

Not only is the main plot so important that even sleeping while on the hunt is something to agonize over, causing it's own problem in a game that wants you to do other things first, half the time the PC voice sounds whimsical or uninterested, and then frantic. They seem like they are mentally unbalanced a lot of the time, to be honest. They just come across as phony to me. I find it best to play as a sociopath, ala Dexter, who is trying their best to act like they 'should' but behind the wheel you can just tell 'that boy ain't right'.

I was really disappointed by Strong. For one, he's not strong at all. He goes down in seconds against most enemies.
Secondly, he hates everything you do. Use power armour? Strong disapproves. Lockpick a door? Strong disapproves. Use a stimpack? Strong thinks you're a wuss but doesn't mind being stimpacked himself.

He's absolutely no Marcus, that's for sure.

Strong can die in a hole. Wants you to do good things for other people, but hates anything you do to keep yourself alive.

Also Allen Lee from Far Harbor. He first answer to everthing is with violence. If Bethesda hadn't marked him as essential, I would've put a bullet in his head the moment I saw him.

For me it has to be Desdemona. While I ultimately sided with the Institute I had high hopes for the railroad. When I first met them I thought they seemed very cool, going with the whole cloak and dagger theme. When I realized their goal was so specific and short sighted it was a complete turn off. She just ruined them for me.

I just hate the Brotherhood of Steel in that game in general... It's a shame because I used to adore them in Fallout 3 and in New Vegas ( A bit less )

He's the reason we have the minutemen in the game, aka, the weakest faction in the entire Fallout franchise IMO. He constantly bombards you with requests and tries to romance you. "Is now a good time for that talk?" "Is now a good time for that talk?" "Is now a good time for that talk?" "Another settlement needs your help."

I didn't buy Fallout 4 so that I could be Preston's errand boy while playing SimCity.

I must be the only person who isn't bothered by Preston. I thought that Strong was the most annoying. Simply because, in my experience, he just stands there not doing anything and when combat starts, he runs in, even with a gun, and just gets shred to bits.
