PostSubject: Bug: Invisible in Certain Interior Locations    Sun 13 Mar 2016, 16:52

I'm new here so I'm just going to explain my problem.

In certain interior locations characters turn invisible. The locations of where they are happening are in Camp McCarran Building by Curtis' office and the Science Room, Kings School in Freeside in the Hallways that go upstairs, Parts of the Hidden Valley Brotherhood Bunker around Eldar McNamara's room in a hallway with rooms and Parts of Gomorrah in some of the Suites. These are the only places I've really only experienced turning invisible. It would really help for a solution because the turning invisible part is really ruining immersion and experience. Of course outdoors I have no problems; there aren't any vanishing problems.

Since I also use ENB, they claim ENB is responsible and that the only response I get is turn off TransparencyFix as well as AmbientOcculsion but to no anvil it doesn't work. Really I am desperate for a solution and I would honestly be thankful for any solution.

Locations that cause invisibility
- Kings School Hallways
- Hidden Valley McNamara office
- Gomorrah suite
- Camp McCarron by the interrogation room and Curtis office
- Repconn test site

ENB seems like the responsible in this case. I encountered this issue sometimes.For me, it would be fixed if I wait there for few seconds or do a quick s/l. Have you tried using a different ENB preset?

Well I do leave Transparency Off which again not much progress. Any how I will try again by waiting it out for a few seconds to see as well as Save and Load.

If so then it is a problem of the game.I play without ENB, but my character, in some places become invisible.

My Character even my Companions have even turned invisible. Also I turned off my ENB and still makes them disappear.

But in all seriousness, it causes characters (myself, companions and creatures) even without ENB to vanish.

If you have Steam's fps counter turn it off it solved my problem a while back even when I turned off enb.

Screenshots please. Their a nuances to this invisible bugs, I might be able to tell what the problem is by looking at several screenshots. Also take screenshot of inside camp golf interior.

Even then I turn invisible or parts of my body do when I am in certain perimeters or looking in Third Person at certain angles.

Gopher had the same glitch with his Jack playthrough. Same spot at McCarran too. I don't know if he fixed it though. One thing I know is he doesn't use ENB in New Vegas so you might want to cross that out as a possible cause.

If you COMPLETELY remove ENB and are still getting this issue then it won't likely be anything to do with Steam overlay or AA as they only play up when ENB is installed. Uninstall ENB completely and tell me if you're still getting this issue.

If you're still getting the problem, what mod manager, if any, are you using? Looks like missing meshes or a conflict of sorts. Your load order might be something to post as a spoiler too.

If you're going over the 140 plugin limit then nutty things like this can occur.

And Gopher did have a similar bug, but he was using ENBoost.

Erm, well, I can tell you that you're not over the plugin limit, but you definitely haven't sorted your load order properly, at least not by using LOOT. First of all, your vanilla esms are completely out of order. You've got non-vanilla stuff loading before it that doesn't need to be.

The next thing I notice is that you're using two mods that the mod author specifically tells you not to run at the same time:

[X] Weapons.of.the.New.Millenia.Store.LITE.esp

You pick one or the other.

You're then using:

[X] Project Nevada - Dead Money (Rebalance).esp
[ ] Project Nevada - Old World Blues (No Cyberware).esp
[X] Project Nevada - Honest Hearts.esp
[X] Project Nevada - Old World Blues.esp
[X] Project Nevada - Dead Money.esp
[X] Project Nevada - Lonesome Road.esp
[X] Project Nevada - Gun Runners' Arsenal (Rebalance).esp
[X] Project Nevada - Gun Runners' Arsenal.esp

Why don't you just use the updated merged version of Project Nevada DLCs?
And again, you're using Project Nevada - Gun Runners' Arsenal (Rebalance).esp AND the Project Nevada - Gun Runners' Arsenal.esp. You should be using one or the other.

YUP - NPC Fixes (Base Game + All DLC).esp definitely shouldn't be that far down with a load order like that. The Omegared99 - Enb Transparency Fix.esp is no longer needed as Boris has fixed the problem in later versions of ENB.

That load order needs to be heavily revised, quite possibly your ini(s) too.
A merge patch or bashed patch should also be made because there are bound to be an awful lot of conflicts there. I strongly suggest you uninstall everything and reinstall what you want following a guide like this as a baseline: http://wiki.step-project.com/User:EssArrBee/FalloutNewVegas#Do_You_Feel_Lucky.3F

You also need to be thorough in looking for conflicts between mods and read the description before you just install them. Sorry if I come across as brash, but it's no wonder you have some issues.

*EDIT* ADAM changes are probably being overwritten by something like Project Nevada, which may be a possible cause of the invisible heads. Either way, the above still applies, man.

Well I've disabled my mods to see, but it still happens. Anyhow I will try to use your advise or reinstall to see if it gets solved.

Be sure to use LOOT to sort your load order. I'd recommend switching over to Mod Organizer too.
Much easier to see conflicts that way.

I still haven't fixed it yet, but to respond with Camp Golf, I have no problems myself it's just one of the Rangers on the stairs up left is invisible.

My companions disappear frequently at the ncr headquarter and i "lost" my head for a while on the staircase.. Didnt bother me as they reappear pretty quickly and it never happend outside. Somehow its pretty funny to talk with a ghost while i am looking like the horse dude from sleepy hollow;)
