Unfortunately for Disney... My views on a Star Wars animated television show have already been set too high by TCW. Somehow TCW managed to catch me, with it's diverse and extensive selection of Characters, settings and stories. Yet, thus far I've yet to see much from SR other than capitalization on popular parts of the pre-established Star Wars Lore and pandering to the younger audience it was intended for.
I don't dislike SR, I just don't think it's for me.
And I find, on my way to death and happiness, that my heroes, my heroes dress in black.

@pizzamonster94 what has the holliday special to do with swr? did you even watched the show or are you just hating it because it is a animated show? i dont know whats so bad with it? sw is made for the whole family so if there are some light moments with strange but cute looking puppies - why not? its star wars.. its sci-fi fantasy so there is a place for everything in it.
star wars rebels is not the clone wars they handle two different themes. the first one was about war the second is about how the people live under the iron first of the empire. it has humor, it has action, it is dark sometimes, and before someone says something wrong - even in sr the people die. they die a lot actully. as example - the brutal execution of two imp officers by the inqisitor because they did not do their job right. you cant realy see it but if you see the scene you can imagine what the inqisitor is doing to them, and that in a show for kids on disney xd! i dont think the rebels show is bad its just different. the clone wars was also not a good show from begin. the first two seasons of clone wars where very boring. swr did have only a low start but it got better arround the middle of season one and it gets better and better since then. season two was a great one, not only that my favorite character is back but i like also the storys arround them especial the new charcters. first i did not like zeb but now he is one of my favorites from the rebels cast.. he has a realy intressting background and i cant wait to see more of it. and seriously, i dont care if a inquisitor uses his lightsaber like a helicopter... again it is sci-fi fantasy.. anything is possible in that world. if you want realism watch something else.

One guy hated the Rebels show considering it the worst thing ever, hoping for the EU to come back...to wich i jokingly replied if the Holiday Special was included to his praises Then it become a gag, wondering if the new guys ever heard about this unholy legend of the past until Echo said she liked All Star Wars...to which i applied the gag. Considering that HS was the pure evil, the Pazuzu of the Star Wars franhise i just felt funny reminding the old schoolers of it
And for the record, i LIKE Rebels actually, and i really loved the second season ending, so in tune with the Empire times.
i have it on my list... but at least in the first episodes seems like childish... will itever get better? should i give it a try?
kudos on the show for having a mandalorian girl in the team, mandalorians are awesome, and generaly female protagonists are always the same archetype ( i know that is not true for star wars, since we have badass female in the EU, but is a disney thing ~ )

I like it a lot, but there are also some things I dislike.
I like the rebel group, the characters are really good. I was not very thrilled about Sabine Wren because a graffiti artist felt out of place, and making her a clanless Mandalorian smelled an awful lot of trying to make a girl-power edition of Boba, but the episodes where she interacted with the Death's Hand made me like her a lot more. Ezra is a goof though, as the self-insert for the kids who watch the show you can't really blame it on the character, he's there to represent them. And at least he's a pretty good portrayal of a kid out of his depth and up against forces he might be a little too eager to embrace. Hera Syndulla is probably my favourite character in the show. Finally a twi'lek core character, and a competent, interesting one as well.
I LOVE having the classic stormtroopers back. The Empire and specifically the nameless, faceless stormtroopers have always been my favourite "characters" of the franchise. Nothing against clones, because they were very good in their own way and I did love the characters like Fives, but I'm glad to see the classic troopers again, along with the AT-AT's, AT-ST's and the beautiful, majestic Lambda shuttle.
The things I don't like are mostly confined to the liberties the creators are taking with the force to make it more exciting to the young audience. Apparently mind control and lightning is not interesting enough, it has to give you the power of flight before it's really good. Maybe it's a small mercy that they chose to make it lightsaber-assisted flight rather than just superman-style flying. But it's still pretty damn bad either way.
They also could have handled the Ahsoka Vs. Vader differently, because obviously those who loved the clone wars have been waiting for this for a long time, and still it provided just about zero closure. Maybe it will continue in the next season of rebels but it makes me wonder if they included Ahsoka and the old clones just to get clone wars fans aboard or if it was a deliberate decision from the start to make rebels an extension of the clone wars saga.
i do agree @waffenbaum. they could have done more about the ahsoka vs vader duell. but, in the end i think it was intended to do so. ahsoka tano has a huuuge fan base and i think the developers cut her from the rebels show because of one reason.. she gets her own show like a tv show or even a movie. i think that because if she would let her stay in the rebels show everyone would only focus on her and vader and not so much on the other rebles crew which are great in my opinion. she is out of the show for now but i am certain we didnt have seen her the last time. sw rebels season two was very good, i am looking foreward to see season three this fall. this week start the star wars celebration weekend, so i hope we will see a season three trailer this weekend.
edit: in this clip you see a sneak peak of swr season 3.. and some infos about the sw celebration weekend that starts on friday...

I like it, especially since they brought back Thrawn, and captain Rex plus the parts vader have been in are pretty cool and I love the inclusion of a mandalorian lead character it makes the mandalrorians appear quite often which is awesome. Although IMO it can feel like the main characters are in no danger, but the season 3 finale was great with that.
What I like about Rebels is the return of a number of formerly retconned EU stuff, thus making it fully canon, Like Thrawn, Interdictors and even TIE Defenders. It's given so much back to the universe as well as giving a great view of the Empire more then even the Movies give them.
yes same here nerfy. thrawn was a great to see in season 3 and i hope we will see more of him in season 4. cant wait to see what else the rebels makes will bring us personly i believe we will see a new incarnation of kyle katarn on some point ( kallus ).
