Just curious, what prompted the OP question? When I saw the topic, i figured it was something Xbox/Bethesda stated on the XboxOne's ability to run approved PC mods for Fallout4.

The mod limit is pretty high anyway, I mod way too much and I've never hit the NV limit so I don't think we have to worry.

You mod very little then cause you hit it pretty fast , at least for me.


I think it should at least get a upgarde from the skyrim limit like 100 extra or something , cause limiting stuff for weaker pc doesnt make any sense.

There are a number of technical reasons for a mod limit, luka, and 'weaker PCs' is pretty far down that list.

You can run the game on a ridiculously powerful PC, doesn't change a thing as far as the way save files are written and the effect mods have on them.

As I said earlier in this very topic... the more mods you have, the more data is written to your saves.  The more data is written to your saves, the higher the chance of corrupt save files, CTD while saving, and a battery of other in-game problems.  Weak PC, awesome PC, doesn't matter.

At the end of the day, having a stable game > satisfying people who want to run with a ridiculous number of mods, because you can't just keep piling more and more data on.  That isn't how it works.

The mod limit will be set higher due to hopefully Fallout 4 being X64bit with the lighting and it being on the new consoles it should be, if its not it will be the same for the most part as it has been for all of the Tes games so far.

I think I could benefit from the mod limit because every once in a while I become too obssesed with having the best mods and spend a whole week going through mods and after that I'm not even in a mood to play the game.

id say it would vary from console to pc maybe pc would be allowed to use 255/300 and the console being only able to use 100/120 for stability reasons

If its as stable as my skyrim game is then I really hope not, I can mod that thing to ridiculous lengths lol. but I most likely wont mod it until I'm done beating it several dozen times getting the full value out of it before I go and make several thousand other hours of replay value to it.

ill probably mod it after beating it Smile. unless theres a mod that adds cowboy clothes and ranger armor then ill have to add those lol
