Hello, it has been awhile. I was a member of the old site, registered back in 2010 back when it was f3undergound. Hadn't been really active since the end of 2012.

So let me reintroduce myself. I work for Uncle Sam and have done so for a long time. Been to the big sandbox a few times. I am a huge fan of the Fallout and  Elder Scrolls series. Been playing Fallout since the first one back in the day. Started Elder Scrolls with Oblivion. I have over 100 games in my Steam and GOG libraries combined. I have almost 1000 hours in Fallout New Vegas, so its by far number 1.

I built my rig myself, Coolermaster Storm Scout case, i5 CPU, 32 GB RAM, and GTX 780 with 6GB of VRAM. All of the Bethesda games I play, except Fallout 3, play well on it.  Heavily modded Oblivion runs fantastic on it, but Fallout 3 refuses to cooperate and wants to crash every 5 minutes.

Other than games I majored in Poli Sci in college and love history, politics, comparative theology/mythology, and Marvel Comics.

I don't really mod, other than some personal tinkering. At one point I was working on a retro mod for Oblivion but it didn't really get off the ground.

Here's some pics of the effort Very Happy

Thank you for the welcome!

I try to maintain my PC with pretty good parts. I'm not married and don't have kids so I am able to afford some decent upgrades every so often. Looking at getting a GTX 980 Ti with 6 GB VRAM in the future. I hope to have enough put back to buy one by Cyber Monday, which is usually when I buy parts.

It was pretty nice. An unfinished beta but still playable. I was trying to get it to look like an old Commodore Amiga game using OBGE and ENB effects. Graphically I think that was accomplished. My main problem was the HUD. I had issues getting a custom retro font to work. SweetFX though could somewhat make up for that using simulated CRT effects. I had compiled a pretty good retro soundtrack using remastered 8 bit NES soundtracks. The last big hurdle was sound effects. I had gathered a decent library of sounds but replacing the sounds was a very tedious and time consuming process.

I may get around to finishing up the sound and graphic components one day. If I decide share the beta, GUN will be the place it is at.
