Hello fellow gunner's. I have a quick question for all of you guys and gals pertaining to Fallout 4's interface. Those who played Skyrim on the PC may well be aware of SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender), and know how much more glorious it is than the vanilla menu interface.

I'm curious. Do you think we're likely to see an interface like this in Fallout 4, or, will it just be optimized with consoles in mind? Obviously, they make the majority of their sells on the consoles, so they're going to be mindful of them of course, but would it be hard for them to at least add some sort of option, maybe even in something as simple as changing the button's values and actions in the pause menu?

I loved SKSE, because my scroll wheel is broken from Fallout: New Vegas (still is months later). I love how it allowed me to simply, effortlessly, move through the menus with the "a, w, s, d" keys. I really dislike having to aim my cursor just right on top of a button to get it to shift from "Data", to "Items", to "Stats". I think it'd be cool if they just gave us some sort of option in the menu.

Thoughts?

SKSE is not any sort of UI, I think you mean SkyUI which uses some of the added features provided by SKSE.
As for F4's menus tho IMHO just give me the good ol' PipBoy and i'll be happy.

Oh jeez. You're right, fate. Apologies everyone for the miscommunication. I'm sort of new to the modding process, so don't tear me apart. I'll be sure to edit.

While we're on the subject of pipboys, what're your thoughts on the speculations that You'll be able to customize your pipboy? Perhaps this feature alone will make most UI mods unnecessary. I think that'd be great, personally.

As in rearranging the stuff in the PipBoy screen or changing the mesh/texture itself via built in options? Honestly nothing BethSoft could add will be a replacement for what can be done with mods do to being forced to limit things for consoles.
