PostSubject: Aiming Problem   Sat Jun 07, 2014 1:32 am

Got an issue where when I install WAR (weapons animation replacer) specifically Gopher's FOMOD version. I can no longer aim in 3rd person, when I am in third person and proceed to aim I get forced into first person view.

Anyone got a solution? I'm running FOOK and Project Nevada if that's of any relevance.

Also, slightly on topic, anyone know of a mod which replaces fallout's aiming system with that of something either akin or similar to ARMA's?

Hmm that doesn't sound like something that could be caused by animations, it sounds like an intended feature from a mod.

I am not familiar with Fook but it sounds like something it would include, does it have a MCM menu or settings menu of some kind? if so i would check there.

Also are you forced into proper 1st person or is it just really zoomed in? silly question i know but you never can be to sure.

I have played a little bit of ARMA but not enough to know what it aiming is like compered to other games, could you give me an example of what you mean?

I hope this helps. Smile

Well I went to install WAR just then so I could screenshot the effect to you, and the problems completely gone. It would disappear after creating a topic on the problem, sigh.

At the moment I don't have my full load order installed so it must be another mod further down the line causing the issue so I'll just have to keep my eyes open at what I'm installing and the effect.

To answer your question though it was forcing me into proper first person.

As for ARMA here are some screens showing the way it works.

Scoped - Control Right Click

To sum up, holding right mouse button zooms, clicking it switches to iron sights or red dot etc, and control right click switches between scope and sights.

Don't you just hate when you go to ask for help for an issue you are having and then your issue solves itself xD Happens to me all the time :p

Sorry it took me so long to reply.

I'm glad the problem sorted itself out.

I am afraid i don't know of any mod that makes aiming like that.

This mod has a toggle sights option in its MCM munu and you can chose to disable or ignore its many other features: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49478/? but i don't know about the zooming stuff.

I'll keep looking though, you never know what will turn up, sorry i can't be of more help. Smile
