PostSubject: Come for the mods, stay for the community?   Thu Apr 02, 2015 10:24 pm

Hey there. I am a lifelong fallout fan, was raised by it basically. I have been out of it for a while, with COD, dead rising, pokemon and obviously real life taking up most of my free time, but I want to come back to fallout with the tale of two wastelands mod. Hoping to have a fresh experience with it later and upgrade from buggy requiem mod.

I would lie if I said that I didn't just come here for mods. But I also want to make mods for fallout myself, so I figure that I will get some advice from others when I get around to it, and get some new mods for my next walkthrus as a extra.  I never heard of VGU or F3 underground before, but however I understand it, I have to make several posts and get upgraded to colonial, so vote me up when you see me guys. I Might not post here much, since again, I got a life, and when I have free time I usually play COD(busy season this year) or dead rising, but cut content in fallout and modding is something I am always interested in. I have played fallout 1 for nearly 14 years now, and I just found something new about it today. Crazy. So yeah, don't expect me to be a regular until my life situation settles down and I have time to make mods. My goal is to make a overhaul that adds factions, weapons and a whole new story for the universe, compatible for TTW. But I will settle for ripping armor and weapons from dead rising and cod and anything I like I guess.

Let's show some love Beer

Nah, I wish. I am just a huge COD fan. I love Dead rising, pokemon, COD and fallout equally, but cod has updates every year and DLC every 3 months or so, so it is easier to get into it than say, fallout, after you played it to death.

COD is busy this year because the new game added exoskeletons, which is ground breaking. It adds a whole another dimension to the already addicting game, but they also added in laser guns and other features, which makes it all that much exciting. I am a rabid zombies fan as well, so the season has started again after a 2 yr hiatus. Thats one of the reasons I won't be active for now, since I bet that with BO3 coming out next year, it will eat up my life for a whole year or two like last time, but I will try to get a little Fallout going too. Has anyone made a ghosts armor mod for fallout here? I might try to combine my interest here first if not and try to make them.

DR is awesome. I got DR3, so I am hoping that I can post some armors and weapons here, if they were not uploaded here already. Glad that Ghosts armor is here somewhere, I own it for the 360, not PC, but I want to recreate my squad as the first thing I do. Will fit perfectly with TTW and the Hesh companion mod.

so much potential with all these combo weapons, you could create powerful melee, unarmed and other weapons with junk or other powerful weapons for even more powerful weapons. It would change the game if you are skilled in repair. Not to mention all those outfits, including DR1 frank and DR2 chuck. Lots of potential. Same with those mixed drinks, somebody needs to make more DR content, I got the game if anybody needs meshes and textures.

Sonichu, there are a couple of things you should know.

Creating posts in which you ask or tell people to upvote just to speed up the promotion process isn't allowed.  Your posts should speak for themselves.  If you want upvotes, make posts that are worthy of upvotes.

Secondly, rep doesn't ultimately matter much when it comes to promoting people.  What matters is the quality of your posts, and whether or not you post when you visit.  This is not a file server.  Its a community, and the approved mods are a perk of contributing to that community.

You're only expected to post when you log in.  If you log in once a month, post once a month.  Simple as that.  If the admins see that you've visited 11x last week but didn't post once, its unlikely that they'll consider you for promotion.

In any case if you have any other questions about it, check the FAQ topic linked at the top or just post your questions here/in PM.  Good day.

Hey there.

Alright, got it. I didn't mean to tell people to upvote just cause, I meant it casually, like you see youtubers do, "Like, comment, and subscribe". I like this system, actually, because it eliminates lechers, so I would never ask others to boost my rep or something like that.
