Howdy folks.
I guess I'll start by saying I'm here for the Fallout content (as if the name didn't give it away! ). I've been playing it for years, and last summer, finally saved up the cash to sink into building a PC, so when I heard about a site with awesome mods not on the Nexus, I was pretty intrigued to say the least. I've read the T's & C's, and I'm pretty confident I can meet them. This isn't the first gaming forum I've joined, so hopefully I'll be familiar with the layout and whatnot, and once I find the time, I'll try and upload screenshots of my FNV game with some of the public mods from the VGU. I won't lie - I would like to eventually have access to the private mod network, but I understand you guys need time to decide if I'm trustworthy enough. I'm not a modder myself, but I've always appreciated that it must take a damned long time to create a really well-done mod, and it must suck (for Nexus modders at least) when people just download it and don't even chuck an endorsement your way. So from that point of view, I get the stricter screening process that other sites .
On a final note, I've noticed there's a lot less YouTube coverage of the public mods from VGU compared to the Nexus. Is that just because of the lower-exposure of VGU, or is it some kind of unspoken rule that you don't do mod reviews of VGU content?
Anyhow, I look forward to getting to know folks around here, and hopefully sharing game screenshots and opinions. See you round!

Hi Doc, hope you enjoy your stay here. There's plenty of great people around.
I've come across some people who have a Youtube channel and some reviews too, I assume it's the community's "below-the-surface" status, and obviously the bigger reviewers make videos of stuff from the Nexus, because people's reaction to a review is often "Oh, I want that now", so it is more fit for them to use the Nexus.
But yeah, welcome to the community, have a great time and I hope you make a lot of new friends, the people around here are very friendly. Cheers
There's also a bunch of public release mods available for newcomers. I recommend you check them out, there's some great stuff in there.

Well welcome!! a new member to our family. Since your a doc, someone cut my arm off ....can you fix that? also all the radiation poising is starting to hit me now...lol jk Anyways just mind the rules and be active enough, then you'll have access in no time! Also most modders here use screen shots which is like the next best thing! If you have any problem just write a post on the mod topic and you will most likely get a response from anyone pretty quickly! Enjoy the site my friend.

Aye, I picked up on that looking at the comments sections for the few VGU reviewer videos. There was a lot of "You have to register?!" going on!

I have been checking them out. That Riddick mod looks very nice - Pitch Black ranks up there as one of my favourite sci-fi films.
