Subject: Converting ED-E to a human Mon May 12, 2014 1:33 am
Not too sure exactly where I would post this, this seems like the right place. But anyway
I've been messing around in the GECK to try turn ED-E into a human NPC as opposed to a robot, the only mod i've seen do this changed the dialog and I would prefer the dialog to remain the same, although turning ED-E into a human NPC is much harder than anticipated, in that I have no idea how to do it.
If anyone could help me out with this I would very much appreciate it, appearance doesn't matter too much, I just need help getting ED-E to be a basic, functional human

It was also done on Nexus (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/36339/?). Taking a peek inside the esp should give you some of the information you are after.

Why do you need it in the first place? There is a good mod on Nexus, called Fake Plastic Trees, that converts EDE.
And you cant really 'convert' EDE ingame, due to EDE not been an actual RACE NPC, its a creature. I havent looked through the original mod, but thing is, you can only reassing EDEs quests to another NPC, which will be called EDE, but you cant just enter racemenu and change EDE there.
EDE was a pain in the *** for original developers too.

Yea and one of the reasons why I quit Fallout for a while since It was a pain in the ass just to change the looks to some very high quality races. But my gawd, so many things were breaking and breaking and getting message after message of things breaking with her installed. I gave up
Anyways, I'm coming back to playing Fallout since I've gotten tired of Skyrim.
