Multicolored NPCs

Post by Archangel-DA on Tue Oct 28, 2014 9:50 pm

Anyone know a good fix for he infamous mis-matching head and body textures that NPCs get? Im not sure if one of my mods is causing this or if this happens in the vanilla game too. I've always just ignored the issue but I figured since I'm here and someone might know a good fix then I might as well ask.

Our very own dragbody has a mod on the nexus that removes "seams" around the neck that cause the  body to be a different color from the body.

I hope this helps you out, I usual use this when i play as a custom race.

If you mean like it's not a matching color (everyone has pale head regardless of skin color)

1.Go to your Fallout.ini (Users/Your Name/Documents/My Games/FalloutNV)
2.Go to it's properties and deselect read-only
3.Open Fallout.ini, it's a text file
4.Right under "STestfile=FalloutNV.esm" type: bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1
It should look like this:
Spoiler:
[General]
SStartingCell=
SCharGenQuest=00102037
SStartingCellY=
SStartingCellX=
SStartingWorld=

STestFile10=
STestFile9=
STestFile8=
STestFile7=
STestFile6=
STestFile5=
STestFile4=
STestFile3=
STestFile2=
STestFile1=FalloutNV.esm
bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 <-------- This line is what you need to add

5. Remember to save it

You might have to do this again in the future, because the Fallout.ini sometimes resets

Thanks! That was exactly the fix I needed.
