what weapon do you use the whole your absolute favorite weapon from fallout 3 or new vegas mine is the riot shotgun

In Fallout I never use any vanilla weapons I use mods entirely but I would have to say the Anti-Material Rifle with all it's mods attached to it. In Fallout 3 I used the Chinese Assault rifle before I used mods.

PSG1 sniper rifle for both Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Been using that sniper since Black Ops 1 and Army of Two.

I can't get away from the Hunting Rifle in Fallout 3.

I'm doing an energy weapons playthrough now, and I still need to carry one of these around to conserve energy ammo. It is so overpowered in FO3, but in a way where it is fun to use (not boring over-powered).

If we're talking about vanilla/DLC weapons, then for Fallout 3 mine would have to be the backwater rifle. With a high critical chance that weapon is a beast.

For Fallout New Vegas, I mainly used the service rifle. While it isn't the strongest weapon it got buffed after one of the patches, it looks nice, and it's rugged as hell.

I use a silenced Sniper Rifle called Marksman's Dream that replaces Ol'Painless in FO3. I think the name of the mod was Sniper's Bliss.

I have to admit, I tend to be pretty boring and practical. Assault rifles all the way, until things start getting particularly tough, and by that point i've generally levelled sneak and use sneak-shots with a sniper rifle.

I do roleplay themed characters through, who don't. Running into a hoarde of Super Mutants with a sawed off (even modded for extra damage) shotgun is not the safest experience.

^ LOL ive been there. run out of ammo for sniper rifle then end up with an SMG charging into the group while shouting "IVE GOT NOTHIN TO LOSE!" priceless moment. I tend to use sniper rifles with a modded tranq pistol for up close indoor action.

i either use the All American which is a very nice combat weapon it has a decent amount of damage and health,next weapon is the Area 15 prototype laser rifle (at least thats what i think it called)
it is awesome it really brings out the apocalyptic gun style into vegas it just awesome in my opinion
those where my 2 weapons that i use the most (i sometimes occasionally use the fatman against behemoths )

Hunting Rifle is pretty nice, considering my sniping abilities. I also like the 12.7 pistol.

I tend to go with the Gauss Rifle (in both games) for vanilla weapons. For modded weapons, well, that is a tougher choice, as my mood and playthough dictate what I use.

My character was aways a tank so i preffer shotguns a lot of them.

When I was playing an energy weapons specialist in New Vegas my favorite was the MF Hyperbreeder Alpha. I never went anywhere without it.

Shovel. A weak melee weapon but it gets the job done. I use it because it is the only way to get items from graves.

Anti-Mat rifle is pretty awesome at killing anything a few times over. Hehe other than that I love using a fully upgraded Katana (GRA)

Same for me I use the Anti-material rifle with incendiary rounds when i am not using it I usually use the riot shotgun with DB rounds...so basically a gunslinging pyromaniac load-out

Hmm mostly assault rifles but as soon as the DLC for Honest Hearts came out I went with the .45 Pistol!

Made my day when I first got ahold of it!

Of course with mods I'll use M4/M16 type weapons.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that there are explosive .50 BMG Rounds Even more fun

Shotguns cause i like to get up close and personal (also cause it just feels ausome taking gouls legs off with a sawn off ( or any thing)).
