Quintus Fabius Maximus Verrucosus Cunctator is a good one to pull from, inventor of the Fabian strategy that sought to feign and evade Hannibal, basically being the father of guerrilla warfare in the West.
I'm Italian and I can recommend some good Roman names: Abirius, Apollonius, Antiocus, Aurelius, Damide, Decius, Decimus, Decumius, Galerius, Melacius, Lucretius, Lucullus, Naevius, Minucius, Onorius, Octavius, Pontius, Tadius, Timarius, Tullius, Veturius. and others...

Flavius Petrus Sabbatius Justinianus Augustus, better known as Justinian the I, one of the emporers of the Byzantine Empire. I once thought of starting a Legion playthrough with a courier named Justin as a reference to him. ^^

Tyrus, Publius, Aelius, Hadrianus, Trajan, Antonius, Mars, Quietus, et al. Not too hard to find more, just look up any Roman emperor on Wikipedia and read the entry, you'll find lots and lots of names of associates, enemies, and family members.
I'd say a Monty Pythons The Life Of Brian reference... But I'd probably get in trouble so just you tube Life of Brian
Hannibal is a favorite that keeps getting mentioned. Romulus is a good one.
