 One bug that have been bothering me for a while

so i've randomly encounter this pretty much game ending bug and i don't know the cause/solution, i've tried googling but not much have been found.

Pardon me if the description seems vague its not easy for me to replicate the bug.

Load Order: i do run a pretty heavily modded game (not too many major mods just the usual FOOK, PN, WME, WMX, nevada skies, EVE) with the proper compatility patch and convergence mod setup. Also I've ran in to this problem with both TTW on and off. I do keep the load order under the 120 plugins limit i set for myself.

Symptom: Whenever i use a mod that have a hotkey that will pop up an option menu for example: FOOK, Groovatron, Enclave Commander, even Project Nevada (in the surgery screen after you click on a body slot and select an implant for previewing), etc. Some times the sound will play, but the menu WILL NOT appear. Sometimes the menu will appear, but after selecting one or 2 submenu it will disappear again. The worse one is FOOK as its will not only not show the menu but will permanently lock my character in place as if i am looking at a menu but i can't move, i can still fire my weapon/reload/put up pipboy, but i can not move. Other mods like Groovatron or Enclave commander would do nothing when i press the hotkey to open up it's option menu.

Occurence: Doesn't always happen, but if it does happen loading an earlier save won't help and since it doesn't always happen i have no way of telling if the save already been infected. But once it does it doesn't go away, forcing me to reload and never use the hotkey/menu again.

My guess on the problems is that i'm using too many mods that have scripts in them? As reducing my load order seems to help with the longevity of the game until the problem somehow pop in again. OR it could be that i merged too many mods that have scripts in them (but it doesnt explain why FOOK will mess up like that sometimes or some of the unmerged mods also experience the problem).

any help will be greatly appreciated.

p.s. already have the latest version of NVSE, NVAC, NVSR, 4GB Launcher.

Well it seems your using a lot of the major mods that have hotkeys so your hotkeys may be conflicting which could cause a NVSE to run a script that does 2 things at once which would make your menus not pop up correctly because the script wont load because you can't bring 2 menus up at once.

You said you merged all those mods together? I suggest not merging those mods together because they could have a lot of conflicting scripts. If it were me i would uninstall and then re install those mods in an order of importance/complexity like start with PN then FOOK then the compatibility patch for those then WME and WMX following with their patches to PN/FOOK/each other. After that check your load order to see if everything is correct.

I know this sounds like a lot of work and just a shot in the dark for an idea to fix your problem and if any of that did not make since feel free to ask for elaboration. Hope this helps.

yea its not that, i already figure out whats causing the problem, its just a stupid setting that i forgot to check. thanks though.

to be specific it's because of an auto-purge mod that i use, i forgot to change the settings for purging while a menu is up.

Hmm I use Auto-Purge too....could be what causes my WME to stop letting me apply mods to guns...Thankfully it is a bug that goes away once the game is turned off then back on (still sucks having to quit to desktop). Guess I'll check the settings next time I play....

never have that bug with WME and auto-purge. try increasing menus purge settings to max.

personally i set all of auto purge to max because otherwise its purging way to often.
