 Compatibility patches or merge mods?

I use FCO and armour overhauls, so I need to place them in the right load order for them to work. But when I check FNVEdit, there are incompatibilities and there are mods on the Nexus that solve it. But can I just create a merge patch in FNVEdit and it'll have the same effect as the mods created to solve the incompatibilities.
If you don't know the mods I'm talking about, I'll link it.

Also, YUP was updated a few days ago, so will the FCO and YUP compatibility mod still work?

should be still working with your fco npc mod and the patches...
