| Are there any characters in the Fallout series that you feel is too pure for the Wastelands? _________________ Flickr | STEAM | NEXUS <--- Where you can connect with me |

| Well, the canon Lone Wanderer of course. I mean, he saves the wasteland, sacrifices himself and is pretty much an allegory for Christ himself. The Lone Wanderer can obviously fall into evil by the experiences of the wasteland, but canonically he doesn't, as shown by Fallout 4. He also sets an example for everybody else in the East Brotherhood of Steel, and even higher ranking BoS members like Maxson and Lyons' look up to the Lone Wanderer and his Father as heroes.
Another character that I need to mention is Dogmeat. Although not really "saint-like", Dogmeat has to be some sort of divine entity to survive for so many years and be the companion of nearly every Fallout protagonist ever. It's almost prophesized at this point that every few years when an influential figure comes to save/destroy the wasteland, Dogmeat will always accompany them.
Apart from those two, there aren't many really "saint-like characters" in my opinion (at least none that are interesting). |

| Elder Lyons is up there as far as I'm concerned. I mean, the man basically crucified himself in the eyes of the Brotherhood Elders in the West, and many of his own troops because of his dedication to doing the right thing. It was something he knew he would be criticised for, and something he knew would cost him, but he still dedicated himself to doing something that, realistically, did not offer anything to him, but guaranteed that the Capital Wasteland would have an army ti defend it. Another character I'd definitely put in contention is Aradesh. He was one of the few people in the Wasteland at the time who wasn't interested in aggression or self gain. Everything he did, including laying the foundations of the New California Republic, was motivated heavily by a desire to help his people. Even though Tandi is touted as being an almost holy figure in the eyes of many in the NCR, I'd say Aradesh was far more saintly. Even in his interactions with the Vault Dweller, the way Aradesh speaks is slow, calm, and almost other worldly. He seems like someone who is so foreign and far removed from anything else in the wasteland. I suppose that any of the characters, at 100% good karma, could be considered saintly, I mean, that's the point of good Karma really. The Warrior and Lone Wanderer both have the option of self sacrifice. The Vault Dweller prevents the extinction of Humanity by the Master, and also ensure the founding of the NCR. The Chosen One prevent genocide via a paramilitary puritanical organisation. The Courier liberates Vegas and reshapes it into a fair and equal society. But like @Corvo said, there aren't too many saintly figures in the fallout games. _________________ Muwahahahahahahaha!!!What do you mean evil laugh!? This is how I always laugh! - Bow Down:

| I think Julie Farkas is up there for most saintly characters. Hell, a lot of the Followers of the Apocalypse are saints. They genuinely care about the well-being of others and the wasteland they live in. That is why they cut ties with the NCR. They could've stayed financially secured if they kept their alliance with them, but they believe that the NCR(or at least the government branch) doesn't care about the people of the wastes and only care about gaining more land and resources because that equals more power for them to soak up. They're like the disciples of Jesus Christ lol. _________________ Flickr | STEAM | NEXUS <--- Where you can connect with me |

| I'd say Sunny Smiles and most Followers of the Apocalypse. When you first meet Sunny, she is more than willing to help you out. She gives you a free gun, some ammo, and teaches you how to survive. She can also give you some free magazines. If you already got into the safe, she tells you to keep them anyways. She also jumps at the chance to help Ringo. It's a shame that after you leave GS she becomes essentially useless. She would have made a great companion. |

| @Wertologist I guess Obsidian didn't really want you to have access to a companion THAT early in the game. I also like to think that she is more than comfortable staying as a citizen in Goodsprings. I don't think she has that itch for adventure, at least that's the vibe I get from her whenever I speak with her. _________________ Flickr | STEAM | NEXUS <--- Where you can connect with me |

They could have done what they did with Cass and have a small pre-requisite quest in order to have her as a companion. Raul didn't really have that "itch" either. When you find him, he was trying to settle down. |

| @Wertologist You got a point there. It would've been cool to find out more about her past and how she ended up finding Cheyenne. _________________ Flickr | STEAM | NEXUS <--- Where you can connect with me |

| Saint James? I mean, he's got the name? Nah, that guy is a total asshole, he can rot in hell for what he did, that's for sure.
I believe that the most pure people in the wasteland are the Followers themselves. While naive and unaware of the danger they put themselves in and believe that they will be safe without security, they are the only organization that has good intentions and don't expect anything in return, other than maybe more members. Sunny Smiles is also a good character and if you count robots, Codsworth is also a good character as well.
And you can be the Pope of Saints, if you want. But you won't. Watch, I bet you a hundred bucks you'll be a bad boy/girl. Just say no to bad karma. _________________ " Life is a beautiful and awesome process, awe-inspiring exchange of living things working together or against each other for each their own purposes." -Me, Matthew. |

| Most saintly person in the wasteland? Well that's easy, its our lord and savior Saint F.I.S.T.O.! Seriously, it doesn't matter who or what you are, be you super mutant, ghoul, human, goody little two shoes, villainous asshole, he'll always love you, and don't worry you'll be able to feel your legs again soon enough.
Now on a more serious note, personally I think I gotta give it to Nick Valentine. The clockwork dick...er I mean synth detective. Dude is just an all around nice guy, er synth. Course if we're talking humans only, then I'd have to give it to Julie Farkas/Followers of the Apocalypse.
However, in the case of not just humans, I also think Mean Sonofabitch the super mutant deserves to be on that list. I mean honestly, I have never met a super mutant or anyone for that matter that is as noble, kind, honorable, and name misleading as him, also he's just so damn majestic and his vocabulary and speaking skills are second to none! Oh I also think Marcus the super mutant should also be on the list of saintly fallout characters, but Mean Sonofabitch is number 1 hands down. Actually F.I.S.T.O. is, all hail Saint F.I.S.T.O.!
For real though, someone make a mod that puts a pope hat on F.I.S.T.O.

| I consider my character Recker to be kind of on the border between saintly and sadistically psychopathic.
He takes an almost sexual-grade pleasure in brutally exterminating things with whatever he can get his hands on (perhaps brought on by the loss of his wife and child), but there is good in him. He helped a rogue mechanist see the errors of her ways, he helped give people a home in Vault 88, he reunited a lost, broken and divided family in Far Harbor (while also murdering the droids who caused the problem) and declined the reward, and he freed the slaves of a legion of Raiders in Nuka-World and fought tirelessly to kill every last one of them in revenge for their treatment of their captives.
So to recap:
He's helped the Institute, Isabel Cruz, the people of Fort Recker- err, Vault 88, the people of Far Harbor, the Nakano family, and the captives of the Raider empire of Nuka-World.
He's killed Kellogg; the entirety of the Railroad and the Brotherhood of Steel; nearly every Raider in the Commonwealth, including every last gang member of the Pack, Operators and Disciples; the Children of Atom; the Synths of Acadia (and just about damn near every synth in the Commonwealth barring a select few); and an endless list of random ne'er-do-wells ranging from Gunners to a group of con artists who attempted to trick him into giving away all of his possessions. |

| I would say Amata from Fallout 3. She's too soft hearted I don't think she could adapt to the Capital wasteland on her own. She would need someone like the Lone Wanderer to guide her through that type of lifestyle. _________________ |
