Old World Blues fosho. The humor in it is what really gets me. I looove the writing for this expansion, especially that of Dr. Mobius. There are many raisins why I love OWB, but none more than the setting. The Big MT is a seemingly endless crater of technological and scientific curiosities just waiting to be discovered by the Courier.

Are we forgetting Gun Runner's Arsenal lol?

Nonetheless I'm undecided between Lonesome Road and Old World Blues. On one hand Lonesome Road is the most post-apocalyptic DLC, and feels more like Fallout, but at the same time I really liked what Old World Blues brought to the table in terms of weapons, armor and even the map looked amazing. I think it's hard to compare both of them because they are drastically different from one another, but personally I preferred Lonesome Road more because Old World Blues lacked human NPCs and was kind of empty apart from the occasional lobotomite.

Personally, I found Lonesome road the best DLC. It has all of the things that appeal to me and the roleplay that was in my playthroughs. A new location, new faction(s), new creatures, and new characters, multiple endings that have an actual impact within your game, new armour, and even a new companion. Granted, the other DLC does have most of this too, but none of them were done to the extent or quality of Lonesome road. I also really liked that at the end you could unlock two new areas of exploration by atom bombing one of the NCR home states and/or a bit of Caesar's legion that are toward the south east of the map.

I loved Dead Money because of the lore behind it, and the constant oppression from the red cloud or ghost people. Also, God/Dog is one of my favourite character in Fallout, and Dean Domino is truly charismatic. And the part with Vera holograms gave me goosebumps.

Same here. Dead Money is just brilliant. The expansion may not be praised that well but to each their own. The lore of DM is so good. I think Dean Domino is my Favourite character because of his dialogue, his backstory and his cunning and twisted personality.

I love dead money maybe more because it actually made you play the game in a different way.

Old world blues was funny but really boring at times.

And lonesome road was a bit too much reading for me. Even worse when you can't help but dislike Ulysses character and voice.

Honest Hearts was wasted potential but it did look pretty with my enb.

I'd have to say Dead Money, although many hate it and it being very, very, very challenging. It's very different to the other DLCs and was an ambitious move by Obsidian in many ways as well as keeping that same feel with in depth lore and fantastic character development.
My least favourite is Old World Blues, it was just a tad too whacky for me.

Honest Hearts is my favorite, I like how they seamlessly introduce you to the Burned Man you heard so much about from the slaves of Caesar's Legion, and how the spillover of conflict from the Mojave is taking a toll on the Zion area. I just wish they put New Canaan in there and not have had it destroyed. Would've loved to have a city or town to get supplies from and stuff.

I dunno, I was just always partial to OWB, the characters were fun and engaging and, since I'm a huge fan of energy weapons, I was glad to see some more weapons I could carry in the end game besides the holo-rifle. (Plasma Caster's a fun throwback, but I always feel silly seeing my "science" read nerd types carrying the big clunky thing). Plus none can compare to the might of the Omnipotent, the Exalted, The resplendent glory that is the Legendary Bloatfly. Lonesome Road is a close second though, followed by Dead Money, and Honest Hearts falls dead last. LR was epic in scope and you could finally feel the post-apocalypse in full swing. Dead Money was challenging and had good character development. HH just fell behind in all parts, the fetch quests were tedious, Daniel was way too whiny, the only good parts of the DLC were Joshua Graham and the whole Survivalist backstory.

I liked lonesome road, good story, fun challange, but here is a story about it:

> Be me
> Kill Ulysses and his minions
> Fire nukes at NCR
> Not declared a Terrorist
> Kill the ambassador of the NCR, no one saw me, declared a terrorist.

I can nuke the NCR and they don't notice, but I can kill there ambassadors with no witnesses, and they want to kill me.

Lonesome Road is the best DLC in my opinion. It has an unforgettable atmosphere of the most severe area of the wasteland, dangerous enemies with regeneration, in order to combat them, at a high level of complexity, we need an approach. There are references to the past of the Courier, and they are made with an interesting sketch. Separately liked Ulysses, as a character who attracts his charisma. Also, I liked the last quest, with the variability of the solutions.

For story, I'm gonna have to give it to dead money.

A lot of people hate it because of the way the gameplay is a bit restrictive, and honestly it is, but that didn't mean it was bad.

Dead Money is meant to be restrictive, you're a prisoner being forced to venture through a decaying paradise in search of a mythical treasure trove, not the badass courier come to fuck up everyone's shit.
Dead Money is so great because of it's small, well crafted cast. Elijah, Christine, Dean, Dog and God are all bound there by their own desires. The DLC is constant in it's one theme. Letting go. You can save them all (with the exception of Elijah), by convincing them to let go, or they will perish because they simply cannot. The DLC also set the precedent for what should be the games true ending, the confrontation with Ulysses. The past is a constant theme through all the DLCs, but Dead Money makes it omni-present. Throughout the Villa you can learn just how the Casino and Villa were built, and how it seemed it was always doomed to fail. You learn the fate of it's owner and how he too had to let go. Even the Courier is forced to let go, choosing between the inordinate wealth of the Sierra Madre, or your own life which is surprisingly, a difficult choice to make.

Dead Money, even at it's end, remains a forbidden treasure. Once you leave, you can never return.

I do not even know what I would choose. Each DLC has its own unique atmosphere. I'd rather bend between the Old World Blues and Lonesome Road. OWB will delay with its interesting scientific dialogues and the share of the return to pre-war times. LR draws its atmosphere of danger, the desire to go through the dangers, to find out what the plot has prepared in the end. Also of interest is Ulysses, his philosophy, his manner of speech, the narrative of the past and the present.

I enjoyed the Lonesome Road, it felt like it had another real impact on the game by the end which of course I nuked everyone XD. I however agree that Old World Blues was definitely interesting, I hope there's more places like Big MT that we get to explore in the future fallout games.

Dead Money easily. It was the second DLC I ever played for New Vegas and I loved every minute of it. The creepy atmosphere, the story behind the Sierra Madre, the new unique characters you meet. It's just all so perfect! My only complaint is that I wish Christine could come back with you as a companion, but to be fair all companions in these DLCs have to stay behind unfortunately. Also. Hearing Christine say goodbye to you on the radio after you leave the Sierra Madre was actually a bit heart breaking the first time I played it.

OWB was one of my favorite. It was very humorous and serious when it needed to be. It was a real damn challenge playing through the dlc with realistic weapon damage on hardcore mode.

I agree the Sierra Madre was interesting, I wish you could have made Elijah's vision come true using the gas as a weapon and creating your own fortress in the center of the dead.
