Hey all,

I was wondering if someone could help me understand how people get all of those amazing 'poses' or animations in Fallout for screenshots. I am really trying to step up my screenshot taking with these sort of things, but I am having no luck thus far.

Anyone recommend/give any resources about what they use, how they use them, etc.

(currently working in F04).

Thanks so much everyone, and have a great day! Smile

Just did a simple search for Fallout 4 poses and I got two results.

Dave's Poses and Pose it look good.

From what the Dave's Poses mod page says you can activate the poses through craftable chems or by using the command console.

Using these poses looks like it might take some practice but I saw a couple of tutorials that you can follow up on.

Anyways hope this helps, and have fun.

As MrEggs0925 mentioned, those two mods are the most common used ones for poses. But there are other ways to get your character to do uncommon poses for screenshots.

One of them is using a mod that triggers animations on your character, like Craftable Animation Marker: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10012/? , you can place invisible rugs on your settlements that will trigger certain animations and then TFC 1 command and start picking. It works pretty well but unafortunately it can only be used on settlements. If you really want one of these animations outside a settlement you can always spawn a workshop and build the rug. (although I don't recommend saving after that)

Another tecnique I use is the command "sgtm" (without quotes) at a REALLY slow speed (that being the number you put after that 1 being normal speed and for example 0.05 being very slow). After doing that you can turn your character abruptly or take out your gun, overall, experiment with animation transitions. These yield pretty unique poses if you catch the right frame, which is fairly easy due to the slow time speed. This also works pretty well for action scenes.

Also keep in mind that, while these things will help improve your screenshots, what really amps up the quality of an image is it's composition, meaning the way you arrange the elements in it. Checking out things like the "rule of thirds" and other various basic composition tecniques will improve the quality of your stuff overall. And pretty much every other principle that applies to image creation/capturing applies, including contrast, color scheme, perspective, focus, etc.

Hope it helps Smile
