PostSubject: Bomb. A Poem about the End of the World.   Mon Feb 27, 2017 5:32 pm

In the end, all we could do was watch.
As the apocalypse fell, we knew,
We knew we had been lied to.
Shock, Denial, anger, Guilt,
We Bargain, we became depressed
Finally, we accepted what was to come, but
There was no hope, no, not for us. It moved down
in slow motion, and we mourned ourselves as we fell.
Just as the world lightened up, the fire we had inside of
ourselves flickered out, and what is left is cold. We didn't
know what was next, but we knew what has been, can no
Longer be. The old world burned, and we burn, and so we
must. In every motion we took, we stepped closer to "this",
not one could tell us "stop". There were those that screamed
at us, that fell to their knees, that begged and that cried, and
not one listened. We even took the people that pleaded for
peace, and we crucified them, and we laughed at them, we
laughed and said "what fools, how can we lose when we
are the great, we are the powerful, we are always the
victors." What fools we were, what prideful people,
we were truly doomed to fall, weren't we? Its
funny now, how clear it was that the end
was so imminent, and we were
so blind to see what was,
what was always,
the end.

This is beautiful. I love how you even formatted the text to represent a bomb, too. Very nice touch.

That was magnificent. I respect anyone who can make art with words.

Oh nice Very Happy I really like when poetry is posted here! Always welcomed!

The form of it is interesting, it really relays the whole theme well
(maybe a mushroom cloud would've been even scarier haha)

As for the content, it's well measured. The atmosphere is consistent.
I like the circularity, starting and ending with "the end" there
as well as the effective ending at the tip of the bomb: The End.

You're very creative and I appreciate you've shared this. Thank you

I like and respect this because is feels nice, the wording and sense of a deeper meaning. Also whoever can create a poem about bombs and fit it into the shape of a bomb is fine by me.
