Hello everyone,

I've just started modding FNV about 1 month ago and come from a FO4, Skryim modding background.  I've been on a mission to achieve better looking LOD, specifically mountain terrain in FNV.  I've already done alot of reserach on the Nexus, downloaded and installed anything Billboard, LOD details related.  I've also genereated my own LOD using FNVlodgen and am proficent at using TES5Lodgen and DynDOLOD.  However, it still looks like crap, cartoonish looking. Besides using DOF to mask the ugliness? Am I missing something?

Can you post a pic? We're not supposed to post pics directly in the boards outside of the screenie threads IIRC, but if you hosted it on Imgur and posted a link we could take a look and see if something crazy is going on.

What are you fade distances set to? That can be a big factor in helping some of the closer LOD textures

I have everything set to max, maybe beyond max. Maybe it's normal. I don't know. I probably have to go watch a bunch of NCRVet's videos and compare.

[TerrainManager]
bKeepLowDetailTerrain=1
bUseDistantObjectBlocks=1
bUseNewTerrainSystem=1
fBlockLoadDistance=125000.0
fDefaultBlockLoadDistanceLow=50000.0000
fDefaultTreeLoadDistance=25000.0000
fDetailTextureScale=3.0000
fHighBlockLoadDistanceLow=50000.0000
fHighTreeLoadDistance=40000.0000
fLowBlockLoadDistanceLow=25000.0000
fLowTreeLoadDistance=10000.0000
fMorphEndDistanceMult=0.6500
fMorphStartDistanceMult=0.7000
fSplitDistanceMult=1.50
uDistantTreeBlockCacheSizePerCell=1
uTerrainTextureFadeTime=1000
