What did you do with your Minutemen?

So being the Minutemen are controlled by the player, there are many possibilities on what the player chooses to do with them. One player can make their Minutemen true to history, others might deviate a little and make their Minutemen wear power armour or such.

For example, whenever I play a BoS character I roleplay integrating the MM into the BoS as sort of a militia division. They all wear Silver T60 power armour, wear typical minutemen attire underneath and use plasma rifles. On other playthroughs, I keep the Minutemen as they are in the vanilla game, true to their faction.

So, what do you guys do with the Minutemen?

Most of the time I usually take my minutemen and build then a nice settlement in either sanctuary or the fort. I usually am a brotherhood player and assume that they would simply leave each other alone and go about their business. Next time I do a playthrough I'll give your idea a try though. It sounds interesting integrating them into the brotherhood Smile

Well my first play through was minute men because it was the only faction I agreed with at the start,
but usually I just do the first sanctuary mission with them and leave them there.

I do basically the same except I just use a minutemen overhaul that varies their armor and weapons. I've been wanting to go into the CK and change their gear myself but feel like I would just mess it up. Especially from what I've heard that it can be tricky to make them all wear the same thing and use the same weapons. There also doesn't seem to be any tutorials on this (at least that I've seen) and I am still pretty noobish when it comes to the CK.

I left them alone, but occasionally when I teleport to Sanctuary, I get bombarded with Preston, I hate him and the others so I installed a mod that made him unessential and shot a mini nuke at him, so yeah... no more minutemen.

I have tried running with the minutemen, railroad, and BOS and I usually go with the MM I make the Castle the HQ with the repaired walls and equip my MM like modern day soldiers. I make my settlements like FOBs with the sandbag fortifications usually make a few guard towers too but haven't found a good tower other than wood structures.

.... left them in Museum ever since learned they can be left there. My home faction is Institute which I normally find with BoS. I just do not sync with Minuteman and all that "from people to people" - meaning "me alone" logic.
